I am thinking of doing a Glitchless speedrun and i have two tricks that i am not sure if they are allowed or not. Unfortunately I can't provide any videos to show you what i am talking about but i'l try to explain.

1. There is a way to angle yourself when jumping onto a ledge so that it skips the normal animation and you can just walk like normal across them. Is it considered a broken mechanic or just an exploit?

2. The jump at the end of the game right after turning of Billy's lifesupport. It skips about 10 seconds and it is kinda hard to pull of. I'm thinking that shouldn't be considered a glitch since it is just a clever way of getting up on the railing, but i'm just making sure.

1. If I get what you're saying, then it isn't allowed. "Skipping ledges" is not allowed, but in courtyard, there is a strat where you can just run of beside the ledge and grab onto it, which is allowed. You can check any top run for a reference point.

2. That strat is called "superman jump" and is not allowed in glitchless.

I think he is talking about skipping the 1st cutscene in the limping section Brim (which, by the way, still isn't allowed)

Might be, he talks about getting on a railing so I thought of superman, but hard to tell since he can't provide a video, sadly.
