Note that the answer to this is not "3 weeks"/"whenever"/"mods are people with jobs/lives/families"/"OMG stop being a baby"

Those are all valid answers to someone whining about their game request remaining pending.

I'm talking about......you're a site mod. You have an hour of free time. You have decided to devote it to reviewing game requests.

What do you actually do?

How long does it take (when you're sat in front of your computer and devoting yourself to doing it)?

How many would you clear in that hour? One? Two? Ten?

I've tried asking this before and have never really gotten a clear answer. I feel like if stuff like this were known it might cut down a little on the whining.

If these are things we mere mortals are not permitted to know, that's fair.

People will whine about anything regardless. They'll whine about their run taking longer than a day to be verified. They'll whine if their lengthy run is being properly verified and is in the queue for more than a week.

Even if it was cut down to the finest detail what was done, people would still whine. People don't complain because they misunderstand the process, they complain because their request is taking longer to get accepted than they personally would like it to. Same reason people sometimes complain in the mod request thread because their run has been sitting for a couple days.

It's stated that runs can take up to 3 weeks to get verified, and people still complain daily about their runs not being verified fast enough.

This will never change. Ever.

The definite answer to the question is...

it depends.

I've said this on the forums before: it's no automated process and it's done by people who can be in all kinds of circumstances/moods/motivational states. And those circumstances/moods/motivational states can be different, depending on the game request and the info provided. Is that a sufficient explanation for why this question has an obvious answer in having no obvious exact answer?
