I have an idea where the point of the run is to get a Game Over as quickly as possible. Here are the rules:
- Start from a new save at the first stage in the game (7 lives)
- The run starts at the start of the first stage and ends when the Game Over screen fully loads
- That's pretty much it I call this a 0% speedrun since the point of the run is to KO Kirby without any progress. I did an unrecorded trial run to see how it would go, and after one failed try, I did a successful run with a time of 7 minutes and 46 seconds. I might have a recorded run soon, but I don't really know how to record footage on the Switch. Any suggestions?
I....don’t know, really? It’s kind of a silly category that I feel like wouldn’t get much serious attention.
Yeah, it is pretty silly. Then again, Cooking Mama 2 has a category for burning a pie as fast as possible, so such a failure-based speedrun isn't unheard of. Also, nice job there, OddPandemonium
I watched your video! Interesting strategy with the sliding at the beginning (I just dashed). I think you were a bit better at timing damage than I was, so I bet that would save some time. Honestly, I think a lot of the optimization in this category would come from an extremely precise knowledge of invincibility frames. This is a great example of what this run would look like! Also, are we deciding on Game Over% for the category name?
I'm against extending this category. Just repeating the same thing, I don't think it's interesting.(Google translate)
This really shouldn't be added. Meme categories can be fun, sure, but they don't fit in a game like this. This ain't like the Odyssey Nipple% run.
