Just spent a good hour watching some tutorials but I'm still confused...I wanted to stream my first speedrun attempt of KH1FM today (woo here's to starting!!) and I downloaded LiveSplit and I have OBS. I watched a tutorial on how to set those programs up but I'm confused how all of that works with the PS4 (since both programs are on my WIndows). Also, can I download someone's preset splits or do you recommend I make my own? Does the software automatically stop and start each split or do I have to do that manually? ...so many questions hahaha

1. You’ll need to purchase a capture card to run your PS4 gameplay into OBS. There are many different brands, search around and find one that fits your price range.

2. Someone can give you splits, or you can make your own, whichever your prefer. Most people make their own so they can customize them to match their likes. Livesplit has a bunch of tutorials on their site and all over YouTube, I’d recommend watching them for in depth explanations on how to use it.

3. Autosplitters are for PC games, you’ll have to manually split yourself when running a game on a console. Most people set space bar to their split key for ease.

You can find the KH discord in a stickied thread on the series forum, you can join there for questions specific to KH1 and we also have a channel dedicated to help with streaming as well. The discord is much more active than the forums here, although a few of us still check here frequently.
