Hello, all! Cronboly here. I'm new to posting here on speedrun.com! Hope you're all doing well. For me, speedrunning has mostly been a personal, private hobby for around 5 years now. I watched some AGDQ 2015 and, frankly, the rest is history. Although, it wasn't till just recently that I decided to use some of my free time to be a more diligent in the recording and preservation of my speedrun attempts.

I used to stream quite a bit on Twitch, but if I may be transparent for a moment, I've been doing battle with mental health issues for a while now, and keeping up with Twitch was becoming too taxing.

That said, having speedrunning as a hobby has helped, I think. It gives me something to focus on and have fun with. Having it as entertainment to fall back on has been nice. I still plan to record, too, and I started a YouTube channel where I'll upload my runs to show my progress.

(Plus that'll give me a place to put my recordings instead of them just clogging up my computer's hard drive lol.)

Perhaps I'll see you all in future posts and/or the leaderboards in the near future! Thanks for being such a chill community to hang out with. I hope you all have a good day :)

Thanks, ShadowFlare! I appreciate that :) I'm mainly a retro guy, and classic Mario/Nintendo & 2D platformers are some of my favorite games to run. As for my current speedrun projects, I've got a couple ongoing that I've decided to focus on for now:

---Rayman on Game Boy Color Fun little 2D platformer from my childhood that's rather nostalgic for me (actually just uploaded my first PB to my YouTube today)

---Mario Wants His Lemonade Short & sweet SMW hack by one of my favorite SMWCentral creators Gamma V

As for stuff down the line, I've also been a big fan of Wario Land II as a potential speedgame for myself, and I may try vanilla SMW 11 Exit No Major Glitches as well. And that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. I find it fun just to have options :)

Same, I'm a retro gamer mostly arcade games/console. I love platformers a lot like rockman no constancy (megaman 2 rom hack) and even platformers like a nightmare on elm street. It's hard to decide on what games to do so I normally do deathless/no damage playthroughs with every once in a while working on speedruns that I love to do.

Some of those super mario rom hacks are very hard and unforgiving. :) Wish you all the best luck in your speedruns, never give up!
