I'm having a problem with the PC version of the game. The inventory menu and text scroll are very slugish and so is the underwater section. The rest of the game runs perfectly fine. I'm running it on Windows 10.
Hello, DinoMight. Unfortunately, that seems to be an issue as inconsistent as its fix. I myself have it if my PC session lasts for too long, and just have to reboot to fix it, but I'm not sure it will work with your setup. Are you using the dgVoodoo Patch?
I did, to my knowledge (I've never used dgvoodoo before so I'm not sure if I applied it correctly). Would the inventory lag affect my time in any way during runs?
If the underwater part is slower, so the rest of the game is slower too but it's easier to notice it in the water part. As Nazzareno said, there is no solution for the moment, except reboot the game. When I was running the PC version, I made a save at the beginning of the water part. You can saw immediately the difference without running all the game.
Unfortunately the Inventory runs slow even with a fresh boot of the game. Does it affect the final time?
Dino Might, hello! I'm suffering with that problem too. And I have been trying to search the solution for a month in a total... I have done incredible things which I could imagine, but something is used to go wrong. Eternal cutscenes, slow menu, crashing on launch...
Within a lot of experiments I could make only one theory and I am not sure is it or right or not. I quess that PC port of Dino Crisis 2 is working very bad with contemporary GPU cards. There are much more chances if the game would be launched on iGPU which is situated in motherboard.
But nevertheless it is not a 100% decision, cause sometimes happens the same problems...
