Screen fading to black

Hi, recently i have found when doing runs, when i get to the house with martha in it where you enter the room with 2 bee nests and have to go down the stairs in order to get the shadow puzzle piece, the game seems to start to fade out to black then returns to normal. as if it is having trouble loading the game for that section. If i uploaded a run with this happening in it would it still be able to be verified? it still has the image on screen as fading out, as well as the icon to suggest loading/saving in the corner. If i remember correctly it happens sometimes twice with in the game. Also wondering if anyone else has had this happen. unsure if it is my disc that is starting to play up

Yes, it happens regularly on the standard PS4 version of the game and your run will still be verified as you can't avoid it on PS4 if your run is at a fast enough pace. We're unsure if the in game timer still rolls during the black screen, so we pause preemptively and let it fade to black during that since the timer wont run when the game is paused.

What Ross said is accurate. It’s the “console black screen” even though it’s mostly a PS4/PS4 Slim issue. It happens more on console but it can happen on PC as well. Your runs will be valid still. There are a few areas it is common to see this at, in the old house where you were talking about, in the trailer before the old house if you step too far out of the door to trigger the phone, when you go through the basement door after the old house, in the Not a Hero DLC just before you get to the switch to open the door to Lucas, and in End of Zoe there is a crazy hotbed or loads that happen towards the end of that run.
