Input lag, CRT alternative

Hello,

I want to speedrun different things on my modded Wii and maybe on SNES mini, but I have a TV with a massive input lag, which makes it pretty much impossible at the moment.

Getting a CRT is probably not going to happen, so my question is if there is any alternatives. Are gaming monitors like ASUS VG248QE better to use than any modern TVs?

Check if your TV has a "game mode". Most modern LCDs and OLEDs have something like that.

I've tried, but it seems like there is no settings that influences input lag at all. The different settings just changes the conrast and colors and such..

I use a very standard Acer 21" (I believe) monitor I picked up from BestBuy. Works just fine for me streaming SNES/NES/Game Boy games. Admittedly, I use emulator most of the time, so that might also influence how well the screen performs.

If you can't get a CRT, a 144hz Monitor with low input lag is your best bet.

Thanks for the responses. Guess I will just get a monitor, good enough for my use.
