The rules in the individual categories don't prohibit extras as it says in Lego Star Wars "No cheat codes allowed." ...so are they?
I'm asking not for the 100% category, 'cause it's only doable selecting "New Game" first. But what about "Any%", "Freeplay RTA" and the "Single Year"s ?
Good point (you mean e.g. the "Any% NG+" category in Lego Star Wars?), but I don't mind anything in story mode. Even in the Freeplay rules it isn't forbidden, so can I do Freeplay runs with them activated?
Since Freeplay RTA can start from a 100% file, I think extras could be okay for that category.
Extras are allowed in any catergory as long as they are purchased legit and not unlocked via cheats, except for NG+ and Freeplay RTA because it doesn't matter how you get them. That's how it works in every LEGO game.
Replay Story (New Game+) is a thing now since no-one objected.
one last question at this topic: why are you allowed to e.g. activate the x2 4 6 8 10 after legitimately having purchased them in 100% here (to simply get the true wizard states), but you are not in lego star wars.
has anyone an explanation for this difference as its one big community imo?
"e.g." means "for example" - i only mentioned the most significant extras (because it speeds up collecting coins/true jedi state), but i meant ALL extras
thats right, but in all the other categories it explicitly says "power bricks/extras allowed" so i thought as it unmentioned it would be prohibited...
The other categories say they're allowed because they aren't something you collect during the run, so clarification is needed. It's assumed that bricks are allowed during 100% runs because they're something you get during the run.
Speedruns of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 done on the LEGO Harry Potter Collection have been moved to their own board, found here:
All future runs done on the Collection should be submitted to that board instead of this one.
