I don't like how the whole focus is always to make sure WR is up to date on a leaderboard, a leaderboard is encompassed by everyone who runs it, singling out and stating the WR is the most important quite bad, what about everyone else that makes up the community that pushed the record to where it is.

People can submit runs on others behalf, there's no reason to ever have the rules state WR while leaderboard doesn't even have a spot for the time

Uh no we want our runs here because it's a speedrun website that's not run by tyrants, we want our runs here because we are picked on for running easy mode and their site doesn't recognize easy mode speedruns

As for "accuracy," both sites allow people to submit on others behalfs, so the whole accuracy portion is boiled down to laziness

I am speaking from a mega man x perspective, because that's the series we've had a ton of issues with MMRTA. I once had my Mega Man X6 speedrun rejected 6 months after I ran that game because I used fast disk speed. Mind you this is speedrunning.

I envised once I got onto speedrun.com that it was a one stop site to go to look for tools, videos, and community members for all speedruns out there. Simply search, click, and one can learn to run, watch others accomplishments, etc. But, how is it that people can look up my profile on here and notice "Huh, didn't zewing run Mega Man X1-6?" How is this acceptable anymore?

There's many other communitites that are putting a stranglehold on absolute leaderboard power, this shit has to stop, we have the right to submit any of our runs here. I don't like getting this upset but enough is enough, stop ignoring an issue.

I think everyone here is sick of this bullshit. I just came back from a week off to read this thread and it states my Mega Man X3 runs no longer show up on this site. For 1, the leaderboard was not up to date in anyway and 2, this is a fucking slap in the face. MMRTA should not control how stuff is submitted on this site. We should be able to mirror those leaderboards since the whole waiting on an API integration is not a valid excuse anymore. In the FUTURE, if an API integration happens, then all that means is there's 0 excuse not to have up to date leaderboards on both site, but I and others are continually expressing our distaste on this with no solution in sight.

I already stated that MMRTA does not recognize my Mega Man X5 Any% WR because it was done on a faster difficulty. Me, Cyberdemon, and (forgive me) some guy from Spain did runs of that category, as well as all stages on easy. Faster difficulty, regardless of what it's called, is a valid speedrun. Harder difficulties work the same

Having moderation on this site, like mentioned above, allows the site admins to keep us in check since its their site. Is it REALLY an issue to allow us submit our runs now? Is it really an issue to give people who want to see Mega Man games represented on the biggest and greatest speedrunning website a chance?

How can you reject runs for using a wrong timing method, that's a mod job to retime

I generally like RPG / JRPG's, I don't run many of them but playing a few usually helps keep things refreshing for me and introduces me to potential new runs.

As for specific examples, some breath of fires and english translations of J only rpg's like JoJo and Ranma 1/2

I don't like the "must have a timer" requirement. Many of us local record runs (losslessly I should say) that have no timer. Invalidating a run just because it didn't display a timer is really dumb imo. If this issue is due to XBONE streaming, then investigate if frame drops occur when capturing with an external capture card (aka not using xbone streaming). If no frame drops, then make a rule stating no xbox one streaming for video requirement.

As a white person, if someone said "verify my run white boy," I WOULD take it as a personal attack and leaning towards racism. Like.....I'm done, this is just too much to read

I think a lot of us want to verify our own runs on this site, as it stands my mega man x1, x2, and x5 runs don't show up on this site when they used to, and also sucks my mega man x5 any% wr is not even recognized on the "real" mega man leaderboard site.

I also want to say what the heck is even going on in this thread? Is someone's run not getting verified for personal dislike is what I'm reading? Was there a video? NTSC-U, PAL, and NTSC-J all have different formatting. If you try to save NTSC-U on an NTSC-J card, you will be forced to format (aka delete everything) before you can save NTSC-J stuff on there. Keep a separate memory card per region, absolutely do not mix

EDIT: All memory cards are region free, but they "become" whatever region your first save data is from. So a first save from an NTSC-J game makes the card "NTSC-J formatted." Overwritting this with a PAL save data erases all saved data and makes the card "PAL formatted." Sorry for confusion

I'd like it if users could stop faking the country they live in, I was hoping to contact someone from a specific country on stuff related to acquired certain games, but all I see are people faking their general location. Can we fix this
