it's just another platform to play the game on. using a controller on mobile emu would not be cheating, everyone using touchscreen controls would just be at a disadvantage. just submit runs to emu.
distribution of ROMs is illegal, so we can't share a safe site. they are pretty easy to find if you just use google.
yes. niftski's record was on UE.
I put all my blood sweat and ass into this game, and now the leaderboards are gone. what shall i ever do?
I was considering running this game on 3DSVC but saw a few runs using the japanese Super Game Boy 2 with the region as Europe. Is the Eur/PAL referring to the SNES, or the Gameboy cart? I've heard the Gameboy carts are region free, so i'm assuming it's the SGB2. How does SGB2 on PAL SNES work?
thanks for reading!!
yo dude, i speedrun PAL SMW. i've recently started playing again so hit me up on discord if you wanna discuss strats. cape kill is super hard though lmao
which is why it doesn't need a separate category. it's close enough to being the same game and has no major differences. you can submit times on the leaderboards as SNES.
from what i've heard it's because there isn't much of a difference between the original and the all-stars version.
is there a way to organise the order your runs are in on your main profile? it would be cool to have them in chronological order rather than by date
hi there! i'm not new to the speedrun community, but very new to forum culture, and not really part of any communities. i've been speedrunning various games over the last 3 years making this one of my main hobbies!
i decided to put this up because why not, and to look back in a year or two to see if i've come anywhere near my goals as i'm currently a little sloppy/all over the place with my games and times.
my plan was to submit average runs to the leaderboards so i can keep track of what i run/want to run, and then when i'm ready grind down the times one at a time. this may seem odd or stupid but the reason i do this is when i run a speedgame, i think about all the others i plan to run and it's very overwhelming.
having all these bad times in a ton of games has lead me to giving myself the small title of 'variety speedrunner' to make myself feel better i guess. i learn more than one game at a time for things like multi-mario and compilation games.
i won't get into specifics about my goals, but let me know what you think about the way i speedrun! thanks for reading :]
you can just call it a retime. it is allowed as long as it's accurate. a 5:14/5:13 probably wouldn't matter too much since retimes are only really done for sub 5:05.
by the way, you can frame by frame advance in youtube with (,) and (.) .
