It will considered as a glitch. Runs that use Jetpack inversion will be placed in the Glitched subcategory.
They are overlaying a spreadsheet like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. It is not built within Livesplit.
No, it would not be considered a glitch. It’s just movement tech.
Leaderboard timing is default LRT - we use the autosplitter to remove the load times. It is fine to not activate the autosplitter via LiveSplit for shorter categories, but for the longer categories, it becomes a very big hassle to manually time runs and remove load times, especially with tons of runs being submitted.
As stated by the rules, Livesplit (and subsequently the autosplitter) is required for all runs submitted.
Think of it like adrenaline "fight or flight" response!
Ye, that’s fine. No one expects you to not have access to basic needs (ex. Breaks, food, water, etc.). Ultimately, it’s going to be case-by-case via moderator discretion (for length).
I think this would go under Kill% as a subcategory in the CE board.
RTA stands for “Real Time Attack”. It usually means how long you took to run the run in real time.
LRT stands for “Load Removal Time”. It usually takes the time minus all the loading sequences that occurred in the game.
The moderators of a specific game usually will retime the run. To get LRT, usually an autosplitter via LiveSplit takes pauses/resumes the timer each time you go in/out of a loading sequence.
Hey y’all, there was an announcement on Discord about this. I just posted a new post in News regarding this: https://www.speedrun.com/Lethal_Company/news/yxy2gm6n
Not really, we already have Beastiary% set up via version number. You simply do the same.
This is similar to Store%, which has been brought up before. Would perhaps prove an interesting CE category.
I slightly disagee with the in-game communication strat changes. All you would really need to do is coordinate how much scrap you bring back to the ship. You know beforehand how much you need for quota, so you could just tell each person to bring back a full inventory of scrap. You don’t need to communicate about sentries, enemies, etc. at all. Enemies are rarely encountered in lower quota runs. If one player dies, it’s essentially a run reset. So strats would not change.
Speedruns in general negate certain aspects. One prime example is communication. Using Discord does not modify the game/game files at all, besides ignoring a core aspect of normal gameplay.
Usually runs are more focused on the run itself rather than communication. It would be hard to enforce a no external communication rule as there are several scenarios that would be hard to determine. Other games such as the Phasmophobia Speedrunning board do NOT have such rule banning the use of external comms.
Runs don’t really change, or become optimized, on external comms themselves either. You can clearly run without Discord if you wanted to, and it wouldn’t really change any strats.
What the fuck the contraption has grown
As per stated by the rules, you must start from a fresh file save. That implies that you must earn everything once you begin your speedrun.
