When a brand new account only hours old makes it's first post and it's a random link and a "pls click this link" then it's immediately thought to be a virus/scam/other malicious thing.

In the future, I would recommend not entering forums that way b/c it can lead to reports to admins and other negative feedback.

Have you tried reaching out to the moderators of the game either directly via their social media links or via a forum post?

If they still don't respond after you reach out to them via those methods, then make a post in this thread http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7 where you can request to be made a moderator yourself.

I would also recommend joining the Discord linked here in the forums, you'll get a much better and faster response as many more runners actively check there as opposed to here in the forums.

Highlights they do, past broadcasts they do not. You can archive your past broadcasts, but they'll be auto deleted after a couple weeks (idk the the exact time).

Have patience.

That game has a bunch of mods, they'll verify it eventually. Not everyone has time to check the site daily or verify runs every time the long in. Just give them time, they'll get around to it.

Twitch has an upload feature, it was implemented a few months ago. However, if you're upload speed isnt great, then I doubt it will go much faster than uploading to YouTube.

I also don't know if Twitch has a limit on file size or video length that you can upload to it (I don't think it does, but might wanna double check). But it's worth a shot to see if it fares any better for you.

I believe people have done "fun runs" of Glitchless, but there really isn't a defined category for it given that there are really only 2 minor glitches in this game - screen scrolling and block clipping.

A glitchless category would just be no screen scrolling and fighting some extra enemies (and some of the rooms in 9 requiring fighting extra enemies suck :p ). I just don't think there is much interest in that kinda category since the "glitches" in this game are so minor.

Edit: Pres types faster than I do.

Yup, that ^

If they say you cheated, they have to provide evidence that shows how. If they can't provide any evidence, then they can't say you cheated.

Alumni,

If you're going with the competitive sports analogy, then the rules for those sports are made by committees, commissioners, and other people that tend to be knowledgeable in the sport or tend to have/had a large amount of involvement in that sport.

The NFL, NBA, whatever aren't going up to random fans at games and looking to them for rule changes. They also don't care if you, a fan, want a rule changed because your opinion means nothing because you're so far removed from anything that remotely has to do with the rules. Players and coaches get a bigger say in rule changes because, you know, they are affected by the rules.

Any random viewer of a speedrun is allowed to have an opinion on the rules, but unless you are a runner of the game or a long time, respected member of the community, then that opinion means zero because it doesn't impact you in any way. Similar to what Jamacanbacn posted, a majority of the people complaining in this thread either have no runs submitted for any game, or have never been involved in the Zelda speedrunning community in any way. Therefore, their opinion on the rules means absolutely nothing and won't impact the rules for this game in any way.

Most people here complaining are just random people who are looking for something to shit on. Can't wait for all of you to just go away and/or grow tired of this (or just stick to reddit and spare the forums from your idiotic complaining).
Looks like mods are overruling consensus
when the consensus is by people who don't run the game/aren't involved in the community (which the majority of the people complaining in this thread don't/aren't), yes, that's how it usually works.

Edit: editing so idiots can't say stupid shit like "2/4 mods don't run the game either"

You probably have global hotkeys enabled on WSplit. When that is enabled, the key press takes priority in WSplit and you wont see it typed on your screen.

Open up the settings, go to the hotkeys tab, and see if you have the check box for enabling global hotkeys checked. I'd also recommend changing/setting the key to toggle between global hotkeys on and off so that you can hit that to easily switch between having them on and off.

Well for PSP, capturing it can be a little tricky iirc, so I would assume emulator is possible because it is as accurate as console and is easier to stream.

As for other games, input delay can indeed be noticeable on emulation, but that doesn't make it a disadvantage. It's more than possible to get used to input delay and perform at a level comparable to console runners. With practice, you won't even notice the input delay. I had a friend who gamed on an HDTV for years. He switched to CRT and immediately couldn't do menus in his game anymore because he had gotten used to the input delay on the HDTV. He got a number of world records that way as well.

The only way emulator puts you at a disadvantage to anyone is if it runs slower than console. Otherwise, it's all practice and getting used to whatever your set up is.
