I don't have any problem with such a category. However, I don't really see the point either.

If you want to add new categories, scenarios would be a better idea in my opinion.

I'm a bit late to the party, but it should definitely be banned, as should any modification of the game.

You're the only real active runner as of yet, but the community may grow a bit. People are trying to beat the game in as few days as possible though, you may want to look there to find new runners or new speedrunning strategies.

I'm confident you can get a sub 1:30 with around 50 runs at worse, just keep working :)

It looks like you only used level-leaderboards. You should simply put a classic leaderboard with differents category (for example Episode 1 Any%, Episode 2 Any%, Challenge with differents subcategories ...) ^^

After watching the current WR for the Any% Multiplayer category (here : https://www.speedrun.com/run/8m7o0ewy), I found it really stupid : Luigi spent the ENTIRE RUN in a bubble while Mario was basically doing the level alone. What's the point of a multiplayer run then ? There's no interaction between them, just Mario doing a solo run and Luigi pressing A at the beginning ...

That's why I think these kind of run should no be allowed in Any% Multiplayer. Yes, technically it's a 2 player run, but in fact it's just a solo run, not interesting at all to watch. If you want a true 2 player run, just watch the second video, here we have a true interaction, and use the bubble only when necessary.

And by the way, why is proof required only for the WR ? I could technically said I've done a 26:36 multiplayer run and if you follow your rules you'll have to validate it.

At first all I wanted was for the mods to add decimals (have a look at the leaderboard, it's ridiculous how close everyone is) : https://www.speedrun.com/gdt/thread/38fty . The thing is, the only mods who answered me was Mossy, and he said "I'm not the main authority here" (he's a super-mod), the 2 others super-mods haven't been seen in months and the others mods is online but do not answer.

There is currently 4 mods : 3 supers-mods and one mod. Two of the super mods haven't been online for months (5 months : https://www.speedrun.com/user/FunnyMafiaII/info and 10 months : https://www.speedrun.com/user/Miglekk/info), the other super-mod ( https://www.speedrun.com/user/Mossy ) was online quite recently but impossible to contact him (my Discord friend invite has been pending for months : ). The last mod ( https://www.speedrun.com/user/Zen_Aku95 ) was online recently but impossible to contact him (last tweet months ago, Steam friend request ignored), and don't look at the forum (or don't dare to answer, I don't know).

Of course you can, and you should, use Genetic Modification to improve your virus. Just look at the rules : "No restrictions" :)

Sorry for answering a one year old topic, but I think Epicallytossed and derek31047 are true, this leaderboard have no value. 20% of run have a video, this is ridiculous (I've checked). I don't know how many run have a proof like a screenshot without video, but I can assume only 40% of all run have a proof. People can say "recording a DS is pretty hard", and I understand, but at least they can at least take a screenshot of their score and post it in the comments (posting split isn't a proof). It would be a real improvement, even if you keep noproof run.

We could have a leaderboard like this :

• Any% ......- x1 speed ......- x3 speed (x2 speed is uninteresting)

• Plague% (replace Plague by a disease) ......- Casual ......- Mega-brutal (Normal and Brutal are very similar to Casual and Mega-Brutal)

• Maybe a Co-op% ?

For Days%, I don't think it's in the spirit of speedrun.com, because in real time it could be very slow, and there is already an in-game leaderboard for speedrun. Also, if we add, add and add categories, there will be too much of that (imagine for each disease a Casual%, Mega-Brutal%, x1 speed, x3 speed, Days%, a mix of Casual and Days% etc...).

Hi, I think it could be cool to add some categories in the leaderboard. For exemple, each type of disease can have a categorie, to avoid seeing only Neurax Worm :), and same things for each difficulty. Also, I don't know if having both x1 and x2 speed is very useful, like Lethal% (I don't really understand this category).

There is less lag in full screen, so yes I think the game is a little more faster than in windowed mode.
