You would have to complete all 37 or so stories, the main story, evolve all warriors, and get all 200+ warriors in the gallery, w/ perfect links, and all 200+ pokemon registered in the gallery. And also, the problem with using the in game timer is that it doesn't accumulate resetting the game and reloading the save, so it wouldn't be accurate. It'd be better too use a real time timer, and just pause the timer when you pause the game. If you want to do it though, go right ahead! Just use a live timer while you are playing, and can pause when you pause the game.
There is a plan for an All Legends category if you want to do that. It is just registering all ten legendary pokemon in the gallery. I plan to do that run this summer. If you want to do it as well, I will publish my notes after my run is finished.
The emulator will always run faster, which is why it is hidden by default. The rules never specify any settings for the emulator. So I think you are good to go, but you can contact one of the mods if you want to be sure.
Having the entire border show is only one choice of doing runs on emulator. As long as you hard reset before each run, have the text "Reset r747" show, it will still verify. If you want the entire border to show as the other option, just do a trimmed desktop capture
That category was there, but there were never runs put into it. I also planned out a route similar to this, except it was for an All Legendary Pokemon Speedrun I plan to do this summer, which involves unlocking the stories required to get to Two Heroes of Ransei. I'll be happy to make you the category if you provide a run, since I don't want it to be empty for so long. Thank you for your understanding.

Don't forget a GBC bios image. Just go on to google, and search "GBC Bios Image" and find it. It should be a .bin file I think. Hope this helps.

I finished. All the Single Stories and runs submitted to those categories are resubmitted. It looks a lot better now. Thanks for bringing that to my mind.

Alright thanks. I didn't know that part. It probably did that to me since all my passwords were in the same slot. That would explain it. It would always say: You already typed in this password. It's probably because it was on the same flag. That's helpful to know.
The reason there isn't an emulator category is because Emulators run faster than any console can. I've tried to request it before, but I was told this. Sorry. There must be some other games to do?
I noticed how everyone here supports Unofficial Passwords being in password categories, such as any of the single stories, or Any% Passwords, yet were never added to the rules. I will officially change the rules in those to allow unofficial passwords. Just a warning: When you use an unofficial password, all other passwords, official or not, will no longer work. It's not a big deal in Any% Passwords though, since only one password is use, but if you want to use them on a personal save file, just keep that in mind.
