If you mash fast enough ( right <-> left + action button ) it s possible to take only 2 bites by a zombie. (so less 20HP) If you mash a little you will sadly take 3 bites (less 30HP) And if you don t push button, i think it is 6 bites (LoL less 60HP)
But don't worry, with a little practice you will have 2bites with 100% consistency, not so hard. "That's all folks" :D

As you certainly know, i had to leave speedrun stuff because of important health issue since november. Now here is some news.
I feel better ! My treatment is not over but i m OK now. So i should come back at home in 2 or 3 months if everything is fine.
When i m out of hospital ( gf home ), I play to Elder Scroll Online and Puyo Puyo Tetris ;p

I will only post once about that, very personnal stuff. For the moment i have very important health issue and i simply cannot focus on speedrundotcom for the moment.
I m at hospital since 2 weeks and will be there for long time. Btw about removing me from moderation of re2, it's a good decision.
I mean except my personnal issue, i m not an active RE2 moderator. In the future i will give my opinion on the forum as every RE community runner.
So please, can you tell it to others about my problems and that i will come back. Expecially RE1 community cause i m kinda involved.

I know that Clix did a full run with Rocket Launcher so i guess he s well placed to talk about that. Now for me if we add it, it should be called NG+ ( not RL% ). It also must be a new variable of Weapon subcategories ( example Normal - Knife - NG+ ) It s the most logical way to add it (maybe with different name )
But i still thinking it's gonna be a pretty empty category and kinda useless in an already huge leaderboard.
Last point is, does it stop IGT on playstation version Furry tried to check but with some issue apparently.
If someone have time to open the config menu with start+select during 5 min on the heliport it could be cool ;)
Let us know and then we will discuss about what exact rule we add and where ( as everyone is agree that it should be ban for atleast the actual silly way to win time )

I didn't want to find a silly way to break the timer to have a free WR. You know that i m not like that ;) My personal though was it was strange to ban an ingame menu and close door to new stuff with this menu. I say "new" but i use this menu since very long time on PS ( start+select ) for my research.
But i can understand that using this shit to have better IGT is stupid. That's also why i did this thread with Clix advice. I m ok if everybody want to ban this config menu whatever when it s used ;)
If someone open this menu by mistake ( cause it s not only doable with F5, personally i use the ingame mapping ) i will also be sad to ban his run for nothing. Plus, if one day i find a way to do a new glitch only doable with this menu, i will reopen a thread.
Resume :
- I don t want to win time with this config menu if it s only used for IGT manipulation (not fair)
- I don t want to ban someone who open this menu cause it s an ingame feature + can be mistake
- I still do research of new stuff including using this menu and reopen a thread if something new
- Someone must check if the final timer is impacted on others versions ( I don t have time for the moment, lot of work )
- I will respect community and accept that config menu is banned whatever how it is used.
- For Barry glitch, i m ok but what about run already using it like mine for exemple :
I also think it should be ban but only for pause cancel ( skip attack animation ).
Using it for Barry Glitch don't make win time at all and we still don t know if another glitch cannot be find with that config menu ( and i love glitches Kappa )
Plus, it should be test on playstation version, idk if the final timer is impacted. If it is, there's no reason to ban it from PS version.

1 or 2 weeks ago, i found something about pause cancel (Checked on PC, maybe work on other version )
When you pause cancel WITH the config menu ( F5 on PC ) the timer is frozen during all the menu display. As inventory froze only during fading black, this method can make win lot of time.
But after some discussion with Clix, idk if this is very fair way to win time ;) So what do you think about that ?
At my POV ... This time i don't know ^^" I m not very proud to have find that lol. I don t want to vote anything before talk about that :)

Idk if we should name it rocket launcher. I mean if a do i knife only run but with NG+ stuff in my inventory i will also win time because of acid skip. Plus, Misc seems a good idea but i think it's not ... because misc must be done for every platform ? I saw that we can create a misc subcategory but i never tried
So if it's done, i guess it must be named NG+ and must be a subcategory ( misc or not )
As a mod,I m not against but it must be done smartly and with a test phase without run submission allowed. As a runner ... idk ... i love challenge and rocket launcher is surely too much easy .... but on other side ... Maybe there's new stuff/possibilities or even glitches :D So i just don't know what to think about that.
Finally, i don't want stuff like "if we allowed NG+, why beginner or double ammo tips are not ?" RE1 have so much categories so let's think before act :)
