Submissions are now closed, Thank you to all the people that have submitted looking forward to the event. We are working on First round Cuts already and will also be gathering Availability of runners soon as well. The current date we are looking at is November 10th Weekend and go until the Sunday Night EST time.
they left out allot of good stuff from more recent titles but hopefully they will get to them the following years?
Few days left for submissions before closing to finish first round of cuts. Thank you so far for the submissions. <3
Submissions closing up soon only a few days left to get them in after that they will close going into September as we finish up first cuts and give out the information on the date and collect availability of runners.
There is just over a week left for submissions, afterwards the submissions will be closing early September. We are already going through submissions as to have an early idea of the pre schedule before cuts. If you have submitted a run or will be submiting a run please keep an eye on the forums for when we post the first round of cuts. Once this is up we will be asking for runners to give us their availability for their runs so we can work them into the final schedule. Date will be announced around First cuts.
Emulator is fine, This is a showcase marathon and we are just looking for ARPG games that fit our simple criteria. As long as if you do submit it and we do place into the marathon that your able to stream it to the server for us to restream everything will be fine.
We will be sorting out those details and getting runners availability soon after we close out the submissions once we have the date finalized shortly after August.
There is at least 12 more days to get submissions in before they will be closed. Get them in while you can. Than you to all the submissions sofar. Once we go through them all we will let you all know here about giving us ur availability once we confirm the date soon.
Ideally you'd want to look at a decent CPU that is most likely where most of the money in a build goes besides the GFX card. so when you are budgeting for a build I recommend allocating the most within your budget towards the following parts in order around what ever your budget is.
- CPU - recommend at least a dual or even a quad core. of around 3 Ghz.
- GFX - only put what you want into this depending on the types of games you expect to play.
- Mother Board - This needs to be compatible with the above parts and if your selected CPU has graphic integration you could look for a board that has that functionally and skip the GFX card if you are only streaming / recording the with the PC to save money towards the capture card.
- Capture card - This part if your recording / streaming will be where you want to spend at least 100 or so on it, I recommend one of the Avermedia Live HD cards.
- Everything else. - Basically once you got the rest sorted out everything else is pretty simple and cheap enough to search around for to fit within budget and easily up-gradable without to much of a cost regardless later on.
If your willing to spend a few hundred I suggest looking into the Avermedia Live HD cards as they are very good for what they do, been using them for a years now and they give me great 60 fps recording and quality on top of streaming it tho thats getting more into PC specs. Under 150$ won't get you much for options tho especially if your not looking at internal cards.
Pretty much all the Megaman games are on there our space because they wanted to be independent? Either way just look around there; http://megamanleaderboards.net/
For some reason I still have people saying they don't know if the marathon is online or if it's at a venue.
To clear that up, The marathon will be hosted online from the comfort of our homes and the date will be finalized after August is over which will be between the end of October or in November.
Also submissions must meet our minimum requirements for consideration which can be viewed in the submissions information thread.
Thank you to all the current submissions sofar. Submissions are open still till end of August.
Sometimes it's based on the community but in most cases emulation is okay if it's allowed and when asked of you own it legitimate being able to verify that helps. Again community usually decides this.
Submissions are still open till end of August for sure and may go to mid September depending on numbers.
Posting about an update the board from a few weeks ago,
A to Z has been added to the Main boards. details for that category are written within the rules and there is resources and guides for it, Other members that have worked on the routing can be talked to within our discord as well.
Attention! Anyone using the Autosplitter should be setting the timer to start at 2.18 seconds, this is to account for the time it would be between hitting start game and fading to the white screen as the timer would start there since it is set up to use cutscene triggers which will stop at the final cutscene for Route A etc as for the established end of the runs.
If you are not already in our Discord please join us and the others in the community, If you have ideas for routing or things to share please also do so with us. https://discord.gg/TzAt9zf
Got 2B Fast!
This marathon will take place Online as it says in the first Post.
As long as it meets our minimum requirements we will consider it. We're not being heavy on the rpg elements tho the games do need the progression of them in a way besides being an action game to weed out random submissions.
Submissions for the Marathon are open till September depending on the numbers we get.
@Amps8695 Shovel knight meets our minimum requirements so just submit it. It is an action game with platforming and rpg like mechanics.
If you are planning or have submitted to the marathon please make sure you in the channel as well on discord to talk about the event or to coordinate with myself and staff. https://discord.gg/BspamJW
