I also updated by accident as I am only able to play Xbox on weekends and therefore was not able o get there in time to turn off the setting. I feel like speedruns aren't s much fun anymore with this update. It feels more like a downgrade really than it does an upgrade. The game runs slower and lot less smooth, the dragon is laggy as crap, worlds take an even longer time to load up, pearls obviously are rare, fortresses seem more rare again, and blaze will melee attack you more and do a good amount of damage to someone with no armor or a shield. My main worry is that this update will just feel like another 1.14.60 I hated that update. I started speedrunning in that update. Runs were often hours long! The trading strats were painful and you could trade 5 times per restock and they restocked twice a day! TWICE A DAY! That is 10 trades a day! Can you see what I am afraid of now? I don't want to not enjoy speedrunning. I can never seem to strike luck with this system

The mods have said a kajillion times that there wasn't gonna be a category for this. It wouldn't be fun and the category would just be too easy
I am a proud Kindle FIre 8 owner, and you have to download something off of the internet on an apk website, this is highly risky and luckily I found a website that wasn't viruses. However, these apps slow down your device and bettery so I highly do not recommend it. If possible, use an external recorder. If you go to my earliest youtube videos you will see that they are screen recorded on a kindle fire 8. I used SRC
Just record the video, as long as your run is timed it is ok.
I understand the shower part, but as @MangoBo1 said above me it is a huge waste of time and you would more then likely be killed by a mob at night anyway.
A good example is how in a recent coop elder guardian run where I created the world and Blev killed he Guardian. Since both are required, I put my perspective and Blev's perspective in the run submission. However this is an exception only because 2 requirements occurred on 2 different perspectives.
No. You cannot tamper with the video of the run in any way. However, you are not required to have a timer showing in the run as the mods and you are fully capable of retiming a run.
No, I have only seen it once but I believe it is as easy as being in a 2 tall 1x1 space with 2 fence post filling in the 2 spaces, if you stand in the fence posts then exit the world then rejoin the world it will think you are in full blocks suffocating but you aren't because you aren't in full blocks so it will pus you up just like an item all the way up until it hits 2 tall space for you to safely spawn on which will probably be the surface
This has been suggested and also denied multiple times. Whilst I agree with it, this would simply create too many different categories and would basically be giving out free world records. I have had trouble with this being a controller console player myself and people who use keyboard and mouse. I see where you are coming from but at the moment this isn't possible
Probably not, because you can't change versions on every platform. You cant change versions on Console
1: On Bedrock Strongholds USUALLY spawn under a village but sometimes they don't . 2: Well it does matter. You need to go to either the nether or the village first. You can go to either of them first
1: Same as marco's response 2: Yes. First parts of the run should be getting all stone tools (hoe is optional) which doesn't take too long 3: It depends on what kind of seed you get. If you have a village near you always loot it first but if you have ruined portal spawn or lava pool spawn you should go for iron and light animals on fire for food. For beds, you can use piglin string or kill sheep if you really need to at that point but you will probs come across a village at some point. 4: Since the One Cycle has been introduced, villages are optional but it is better to have them then to not. Villages provide many useful resources for the run e.g. Beds, Food, Iron, and possible stronghold underneath. Marco probably would be the best to ask about RSG in general especially for PC But if you have any questions about Console RSG I would suggest hitting me or M8 with the question. Mobile idk
