Right now the game has a lot of problems for people with AMD hardware. Looks like for the time being, it only works if you've got an Nvidia GPU. It'll surely be fixed eventually but it might take some time for the Xenia developers to make it work for everybody.

Assuming you downloaded the splits from the resources page, it's probably because 100% runs need 2 extra splits because of a route difference. If you remove the last 2 splits in zone 3 (one for the secret level and the other to return back to area 4) then it should work for any%. I've edited the title of the splits on the resources page to reflect that. Sorry for any confusion.

@QuakerCraft Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification that you posted here. I haven't played the DS version, but isn't it essentially a different game than the console version? If so, it would probably be best for Rogue Agent DS to have its own leaderboard with you as the moderator. I've never played that version before so I don't think I would be the right person to moderate for it. If you want to request for a Rogue Agent DS leaderboard, go to https://www.speedrun.com/games and click on the "Request Game" button in the top right corner. My only request is that the title of the game on the leaderboard should be something like "GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (DS)" to fit in with the other James Bond handheld leaderboards.

What sequence breaks are you referring to? I'm guessing the console versions have shorter crouch jumps like the older PC versions did. in the 1.02 PC version, they made it where Shelly brings her legs up more when you crouch in the air, and that lets you reach places you can't get to on 1.0. They were gonna change it back in the upcoming 1.1 update, but thankfully they're keeping it the same so pretty much everything still works in that version. Assuming the console version has the old crouch jump behavior, that makes a few tricks impossible, but most of the game should be the same at least. Check out some of the older PC runs and that should be more like what you'll do on console. One of these days I'll get around to buying the switch version so I can test this stuff too.

Sorry, I forgot to add version numbers for console. Unfortunately all the version numbers are a bit confusing because this leaderboard was created back when the PC version was in early access. So Updates 1 and 2 are for the preview campaign (there are other updates too but nobody ran them at the time), then the 1.0, 1.02, and 1.02a are post-release PC versions. Once again, there are other versions on PC nobody ran.

I'll add the console version numbers later today. When you do a run, if the version you're playing on isn't listed, just select one anyway and make a note of it in your run comments and I'll add the number you want. I'll do my best to keep it updated and add new versions as they're released, but the version numbers are different between the different consoles so I might miss some.

No. The gameplay is pretty much the same across all versions except the Xbox version has faster loading times. The reason everybody so far has played on GameCube is because that's the version they happened to own. I don't remember the loading times being that different, but it does add up over the course of the whole game. I'd guess Xbox is about a minute faster than GameCube, but I don't have any numbers to back it up. That's only an estimate.

Hello! It's good to see someone playing this game again. You've got the right idea when it comes to playing the game a few times and practicing the movement. The movement in this game is pretty straightforward but getting good at it can save you a lot of time over the whole run. As for Individual Level speedruns, I'm not against them, but there's not really any competition for it. When this game was active a few years ago, we added categories for Disc 1 and Disc 2, which is basically like splitting the game in half (because the gamecube version comes on 2 discs, with roughly half the game on each disc). For the xbox and playstation 2 versions, you don't have to worry about switching discs or anything, it's just about playing the levels listed under the rules tab in order. I know it's not the same thing as individual levels, but those 2 categories kind of served the need of having shorter categories, and there were few enough of them that they were competitive for a little while.

I don't know of any major differences between PAL and NTSC. The PAL version runs at a lower framerate, but I think the general gameplay is pretty much the same.

I had an idea to potentially skip Pearl Harbor too, but I don't expect it to work. Pearl Harbor might take place on the same map as Day of Infamy (or maybe it's a different map that looks exactly the same). If it does, then maybe the trigger to end that mission is also present. The only problem is that you don't have enough time to strafe all the way to the part of the map Pearl Harbor ends on, so I can't test it. If you could find a way out of bounds from the inside of the boat, you wouldn't start the timer for defending the boat, so the mission wouldn't end before you get all the way to the part where Pearl Harbor ends.

Just an idea, though. It probably won't work but one can hope.

Could lag have made a difference with the first test? If you're sitting in a corner on the ship, it would make sense that you would get less lag than you would if you were shooting down the planes. But there's gotta be something else that made the level end in 1:04 when you get out of bounds. Could it be that the planes aren't spawning anymore if you get too far away?

Is there a discord server for this game? JtpG has been finding a lot of cool stuff for the GameCube-era Medal of Honor games lately, especially this one. He also found a way to climb up walls in Frontline, which can be seen here:

I think there are speedrun.com rules against sharing ISO links, but you should be able to find what you're looking for on reddit. I'm not sure how much more I can say about it than that.

My only complaint about the new layout so far is that it is really hard to tell what leaderboard category you have selected.

the IL's use the in-game timer so you can use any levels you've completed even if they're in any% runs.
