Literally any game where you have to grind as fast as possible just to get through a segment. Bullshit. I hate it. It doesn't feel like speedrunning if I have to mash through 30 fights as quick as possible just to progress. Iz bullsheet.
People that call it "Speed running"
THERE'S NO SPACE IN IT DARNIT!
People who get super tilted over losing one of their world records, I'm certain they never felt any remorse for doing the same thing to the previous wr holder.
1 of my pet peeves is being forced to sit through unskippable cutscenes, especially if they're long like the ones at start of SMS.
@Klooger it's funny that you mention that. Just 2 days ago someone took the WR from me on Ni Hao Kai-lan Super Game Day. And yesterday(not even a full 24 hours later) I took back the WR by over a minute. I actually felt bad about it because of how excited the man sounded when he got WR and he had it for less than 24 hours. But a few hours ago he commented "GG. Gonna keep practicing" on my speedrun so we're cool luckily lol
When people aren't super excited about having a new wr
It's just unsatisfying
Probably not getting Jonny Skip in Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures over and over again
1: Failing to level 1 for having a reset in a game thats super early on (Red Ball 3, Red Ball 4 volume 1) 2: Someone bopping me with Less (or seeming less) time grinding than me (Freedom Planet, am guilty of doing the same thing to people however)
I have a tendency to not shut up for a second when running, and I have a really annoying high-pitched voice that both make it hard to rewatch audio.
I'm not sure that I have any pet peeves with speedrunning.. I'm a very patient guy so I don't have many things that I hate but to the guy that mentioned about people not being super excited for holding a new WR.. well you should feel two things.. excited and also very physically ill. If you don't feel these things then perhaps its time for a new hobby/profession. IMHO if you don't look at your own work and it doesn't make you physically ill it doesn't sound like you're very passionate about what you do. I guess number 2 pet peeve would have to be making it all the way to the end of a run I'm working on and things don't work out ie; mistakes made or just bad luck and having to reset the entire run from the beginning, losing all that work. Usually that doesn't happen to me but when it does I hate it but luckily for me im a patient person.
