Literal god RNG. 4 way tie, 25% to get chose, replay magikarp to skip random minigame at the end. Got lucky and skipped clefairy easily the best one to skip. Also managed to get a 3 way tie to save more time when the game decides to cycle who chooses next game. Was going for the 4 cycle cleff + 3 way tie start but this was just a bonus just in case it happens strategy and it literally happened.
