Does it make a difference if you play the game on 30 fps or 60, 60+ fps, and will that run be accepted if you play on 60,60+ fps ?

Rules updated. We agreed on using either 30fps (same as consoles) or unlocked fps. The difference is with particle physics which gets pretty broken if you have more than 30fps (it's hard to see in snow stages with unlocked fps).

I'm having trouble with my FPS on the game, even with V-Sync enabled which locks it to 30FPS I have bad frame rate drops a fair bit when doing my run and it's very off-putting when trying to attempt a run any idea on how to fix this problem?

I've got all my settings on low for Visual Graphics and play at 720p windowed and it is still a big problem :/ Any tips on how to fix this then that would be great :D

What are you specs? I was able to run this at 1080p60 low with a 560ti and a 4790k

GTX 970 is my graphics card and I have a i5-3770k as my Processor

Try to lock both OBS and game to specific CPU cores.
