Hello, this here is a Tutorial how to downpatch NFS Heat to 1.0.58. Why should you downpatch? It saves time in the speedrun.
First of all you just need to have the current patch installed. Then you delete the Folder : Patch in the game directory.
After that you delete in the "data" folder the file: chunkmanifest
Then you replace the files NeedForSpeedHeat.exe and NeedForSpeedHeatTrial.exe with the ones from here: https://www.speedrun.com/nfsheat/resources under the section Patches : Need for Speed Heat 1.0.58 downpatch (1.0.58)
Side things to consider:
1: always start the game in origin offline mode (also for steam version)

If a activation screen appears, put your data in and go in origin online mode and then confirm.

For preventing the Game to update, just disable "automatic game updates" in applications settings under the tab application.
