I decided to make this topic in case I have some questions about the runs you guys send me.

And it appears I have one question for Knokoat with his Any% run. You collected all gems to unlock the 4 bonus levels, this is great. Then in these levels you don't collect gems anymore because it's not required.. That's fine too ! BUT.. There is something I'm not sure about.. I'm not sure to understand why you get to every secret levels ? Since this is Any%, you should only finish the 16 main levels then the 4 bonus levels.. and.. that's it.

This is like between an Any% run and a 100% run.

But I didn't play since a long time.. maybe I forgot something.. Can you explain me everything ? :P

I could understand that Any% is the same as 100% but without gems, but Any% has always been "finishing the game and ignoring every bonus elements".

So for me :

16 levels : only finish the 16 main levels 16 levels + gems : finish the 16 main levels and collect all gems in these levels. Any% : finish the 16 main levels and collect all gems in these levels to unlock the 4 last level and finish them without collecting all gems. 100% : finish every level in the game including secret levels and collect all of the 4000 gems.

Am I wrong ?

I understand your thinking. However, I think perhaps you forgot that in order to beat the game, you actually have to beat all the secret levels (V-Land and G-Land, not CGA-Land). If you only complete the original 16 levels and the space levels (World 5), you get a congratulatory message (in my run, you can see that when I beat normal 5-4, it shows up for a tiny bit before I skip past it), but you don't actually beat the game. You have to beat all the normal and secret levels in order to actually beat the game. Once you do, you get the ending cutscene (like I did at the end of my run).) Thus, the secret levels aren't bonus levels; they're actually necessary to beat the game. That's why I think they should be part of an Any% run.
