At this point IOS and Android should have separate categories because IOS doesn’t have access to Beta Versions. Having them remain in the same category would be like having two separate devices, with two separate mechanics together. Unless we decide to ban Beta Versions it would be completely unfair to IOS players to be put together with Android Players.
I totally agree. Grouping them together simply because they're both mobile doesn't make sense when most of the runs on android are going to be using the beta. Having beta runs grouped with normal IOS versions could create large differences in versions, seeds, and ultimately times overall.
The only issue then is: Why aren't PC/Console runs split between Pre 1.16 and Beta? If we did that, then I'd hold the WR for Any% Glitchless Random Seed PC (and I'd probably be re motivated to actually try and get a better time)
You have a point there. Personally, this doesn't affect me all too much, and whatever happens happens, but I understand both POVs.
So we regretted allowing betas and 1.16 will be the last time this happens, still, 1.16 release isnt that far so yeah
- After a long discussion and investigating the game, we decided to change the showing global resource pack rule to be a highly recommended thing to do instead of a must (resource packs are STILL banned), so any past runs that haven't shown global resource packs and got rejected ma
