This speedrun is completely serious, mario combat was my number one favorite games when i was little and i wanted to show it a little respect for having stayed so fun for so long. without mario combat i may have never gotten to this point, who knows? maybe mario combat was the only reason i made it through 2020! i may have not played it since 2017 but it holds a special place in my heart as the only good f%#&ng flash game on the internet. (back when flash was a thing i might add.) from its beautiful pixel art style to its enjoyable battle, mario combat checks almost every box a video game can have! every time i open it i can just feel a rush of nostalgia come over me, i just can't get enough of it! and as a great man once said "mario combat is cool." and i feel those words. deep inside my heart, and i know that those words changed my life as a child, more than mario 64 or super mario bros. wii, mario combat is a game i will never forget and it's a dream of mine to someday... just someday perhaps meet the man who made the game. to just tell them... thank you.. THANK YOU for making a masterpiece such as this and just let all of my inner problems and faults be purified and sent away. and i know this man can do that.. i know that they can save me by any means necessary, because they made this game. this game... the embodiment of joy, good, success, and even happiness. you may not agree but that is how i feel when i play this game for even a second. i hope you will give it a try just as i did so long ago and enjoy it. share it. tell everyone you know that what we have been waiting for all this time has been here all along. salvation... deliverance. even just the help we need. when you get fired.. when your friends and family leave you alone to fend for yourself, when the WORLD ITSELF is against you... you can turn to this game and god will find you, he will forgive you and all others as long as they know this game is here... amen.
