Should loading times be removed from runs? This would let us compare runs between PC and console a lot more easily, making it a lot more accessible for others. Besides that it would also remove the loading times which seem to vary a lot, even on the same system. I haven't done any testing with in-game time but from my experiences it seems to be wildly inaccurate, but if anyone can disprove me on that I wouldn't be opposed to using it instead.
I also think that the in-game timer is very inaccurate. Maybe "in-game time" should be changed to "without loads" and we time each split manually instead of using the in game timer.
That sounds like the best option at the moment, I'll leave this up so others can input but currently I think we can rule out using ingame time. (Since it seems super inaccurate, sorry sqank)
I guess it's fair, but timing manually each run without counting loads sounds inaccurate and hard.
It's not really hard, and shouldn't create any issues accuracy wise as long as we (as in the current "community" for this game) agree upon certain rule sets, and when we start cutting out the load and when we stop cutting it out.
Although it does consume quite a bit of time, which understandably not everyone may have. I'm just offering ideas so we can have competition between console vs pc, along with not having the worry about the varying loads between computers.
