Had 2 people talk about it on steam direct to me and thats like half the IL community :(
Aftermath Forest has been added since no objection was raised
Hi is there any chance I could get mod, I wanted to do a bit of work on the IL section if that's ok.
A lot of the levels aren't actually bad as naija....some are
Levels like 1-15xx, 1-17xx, 1-19xx, 1-6xx, 1-4xx and I'm sure others that I'm not remembering off the top of my head are pretty nice once you figure them.
SMB aftermath is the name of a chapter of levels made by Sup_bro which essentially serves as a "dark dark world" version of the original levels.
Are people interested in having these added to IL leaderboards?
Also if any other chapters are requested enough they can be added.
Here is a thread about aftermath for those who are curious: http://www.speedrun.com/smb/thread/2tef4
OK guys, aftermath % tournament, June 12th 2017 confirmed \o/
Will throw my 2 cents onto this topic. I don't suspect there will be that much feedback since as far as I know the only run recently submitted to these specific leader-boards was Uber's time, unless you made changes beyond the misc and glitch categories.
I think all the changes are good but would also say that I don't think there is that much need for any changes. The leader-boards are working perfectly in that people know what category rules are and how their time ranks. If there is widespread demand for a change then we can work on it, maybe there was, I haven't been as up to date with the community recently.
Anyway basically, I think unless a glaring issue arises, amendments should be kept to a minimum to avoid the risk, however low, of corrupting or completely losing the leader-boards as they are. On this note is it possible to make a back up the leader-board data?
Saying "devs never intended" is a really bad argument, devs never intended to put in superdash, autojump, infinite float, oob, josef super jump, slides, timer glitch etc
Taking these out doesn't add to the run, in fact banning superdash as a whole would kill naija since the risk of an accidental super is too high especially if you try for speed.
As for the "accidental" clips that we cant tell are happening thing, there's several clips that can happen by accident but exceptionally few happen with a high rate of success and are on a route that would reasonably be taken.
This is a REALLY OLD debate, might be worth having a poll with a LONG running time (1-2 months) to ensure a large answering sample and just accepting the answer as the go-by rule.
Personally I won't be using them regardless, as it is I even stop if I benefit from one and waste the time I've gained off it but I understand that that's completely over the top, not like you can just magically reclaim anytime lost.
You would have to leave out glitch girl, kinda silly if you dont
It should be possible to use the same system as the IL right? but instead of a filter by character have a filter by category, so for instance if you look at 3-5x I have a ogmo, hominid and naija time but if I was interested in the naija times I could just click on the character filter and get that. The images shown should give an idea what I mean, see how when I am unfiltered my "inferior" times don't take places but when filtered to ogmo my time shows as first.

Also why do people want to consolidate them? is there a cap on the number of misc categories?
Kinda suprised the voting is even this close on this one. Can think of only 2 runners who would suggest it and I think I know which one of this it was ????.
Yeah I know without testing that my results are quite vastly different on keyboard, the below are guesses but I've watched my play at slow speeds enough to know that its approximately right. I've only tested wall dash speed though, roof would be a little faster I'm sure due to less inputs.
Default kb controls: 1.75 dashes per second max speed and uncomfortable
z,x left handed: 3 dashes per second max speed, what just about all my play was on.
down, right, right handed: 5 dashes per second max speed, current set up but I'm on a short break from this game. Plan to eventually learn to control this to a consistency that doesn't just annoy me :D
have you tried upgrading drivers, especially for the card? Also try giving high priority to smb and your recording software, might help a little.
