Can a 2P category be added? I dont know about the routes, but here is a full run of the 2P mode me and my arcade partner did in 1 hour 12 minutes:

Yeah, my run is also 2P but has been on 1P category...

This game is "Darius Gaiden Extra Version". This version is different normal version, and never official release. And, this game's rule is "No Continue". Then, 2P category hasn't added yet.
