Previous record was done by commander and he did a fantastic job this was pretty difficult to beat. However, this could be a couple seconds better this wasn't perfect.
I added bhopping in various sections to get a tiny bit of time save, commander did not bhop at all
At 0:44 this was bad you can kill both enemies here without getting hit.
At 1:02 i'm not sure if this is public info in the speedrun discord but when you double jump, if you dash at any point before you land then you can move immediately instead of knack standing still like a regular dash. An optimal execution of this is just like at 1:02 in the video, I double jump to get over this wall and I dash right before I hit the ground.
At 1:06 I purposely take damage in the lava to maintain my bhop
At 1:16 I didn't get any slow motion on this fight, I think there is a correlation between distance to enemies and slow motion, everytime here i bhopped and dashed closer the enemies to have less travel time on the slow projectile shots and I got slow motion, where as every time I shot from further away about the same distance as in this clip, I don't get any slow motion.
At 1:49 I skip half the maze, not sure if this is new but i've never seen someone else do it. I also take damage and i've done this skip without taking damaging a bhopping perfectly to the end but the rest of the run was bad. So this was my best iteration of this. This is another part where time save is possible.
All in all I think skipping the cutscenes could be a little faster, bhop could be implemented a little more, as well as no damage besides the lava part could make this a 1.43 maybe 1.42
