No Map% would be fun and allow for more variety of relics Fire%, Ice%, etc would be fun categories too and once again allow for some build diversity and a change of pace. As from watching your runs pure Chaos magic seems to be best for Any%
Sup i have been trying to run this sins it so fun. ide for the categorys . any% everything allowed. any% (no chaos), Fresh% starting spells starting coustme. no relic. Once i beat the game and get some chaos spells i will be submiting an any% to this and will try my best to make this speedrun grow :) : Edit: Also as a meme category sins all good speed games need one . Horse% You must use the Equestricap relic. aka the horse mask .no outer restrictions
Another meme catagory could be Avatar% see how quickly you can beat the game 4 times once with full fire, water/ice, wind, earth. Would also be a longer run for marathons, just gotta figure out how to make it marathon safe in terms of death=run over
Can we have an any% category from a new file? Seems all the categories at the moment are new game plus. ?
i came up with an ide for a Fresh% . Starting arcana. so windslash 1. basic dash. That dragon fire thing. And fire ball signature. no starting relic.( museum ticekt is fine ;) any robe is fine . sins the starting robes get buffed it will be har to use "starting robes" and reseting your save file to do 1 or 2 runs of fresh% just to then later grind all your stuff back will be annyoing
You can make copy of your save file. File location varies depending if you are playing on gog or steam.
For Steam: C:\Users<name>\AppData\LocalLow\Contingent99\Wizard of Legend<steamID>\GameData.gd
For GoG: C:\Users<name>\AppData\LocalLow\Contingent99\Wizard of Legend\GameData.gd
But yes for switch not sure if it would be possible to make a restore of your save file. Do not own a switch so can't test.
I recently have been playing Any% but without using chaos spells. I feel it gives more diversity on which builds to choose when doing your run since chaos is usually better in almost every way. So maybe Any% No Chaos could possibly be a category?
@MrmunkieMan. we are planning in the futre to do Elemental ( only fire. only ice and so on) %. but if allot of people want no chaos% it might happen
What about no relics (just the starting one) and no extra arcanas? just your starting set up ?
I mean: have a starting set up (w/e you want) and DON'T pick any relic or arcana in the way
Pride + insignia category. someone already has world first.
Would really love to see mono color/pure build catagories for each element. I think this would breath life into the evolving meta and give us good build diversity. The idea of elemental specialists fighting for first place is very exciting!
I'd like to see a misc category for "Co-op no map%", as we already have a Co-op any% and no map%, but not a mix.
