This is my new updated guide and I'm going into details and how to run this category.
We'll see the new route, cash runs, etc.

#**Intro**

I strongly recommand to use my splits to have an idea on the route and etc. If you know where the collectbles are, it's not going to be very confusing/hard to know where to drive at.

I numbered them, like that I don't name them anymore during runs but of course you can name them. I also added a "TP(the number of the cash run you're going to teleport to)↓(Mission or collectibles before teleporting)" in my splits to know which cash run I have to use.

"But where and when do I create them???" Fear not. I will explain here:

This is going to be straight forwarded and maybe schematized, it'll also give some ideas on the route too (I'm lazy to write EVERYTHING, so yeah)

1. The cash run (Pawn Shop PS) is going to be made after failing They can't Hide, get the song and create the cash run and follow on to the city hotspots and etc.

2. The cash run (Ghost of Past) is going to be made after the Weapon Trade, finish the Private Intrusion and create it while going to the ctOS Breach.

3. Create it on the way to Big Brother, here's a little drawing on where you'd do it →  ** https://imgur.com/a/CmvdmBQ **

4. Create it just like in the Any% run. But you have to take different route before that because of collectibles and stuff. Still create it at the same place as in the Any% run.

5. You create it just after finishing Foresight, not that hard.

6. You create it after the ctOS Breach and getting the City Hotspot. Of course don't forget to pick the song there.

7. After finishing Backstage Pass, go straight and create the Cash Run as soon as possible.

8. After teleporting back to the "Hacking"/number 7 Cash Run, take the same route as in the Any% run and create the Cash Run.

9. Create it after getting the following City Hotspots → (get Ambrose and the one behind the news stand) and do the 2 other ones, to then teleport back and start Open your World. It's also going to be used after finishing Rat's Lair. 

10. Create it just like in Any%. After taking the Train.

11. Create it on the way to Remember. Create it just as where that City Hotspot is if you know where it is.

12. You create that one after the ctOS Breach, create it at that City Hotspot.

13. You create it after taking the train to Not the Pizza Guy and getting the two City Hotspots, you can also do the Private Intrusion there.

14. You create that one after finishing Dressed in Peels and getting that Private Intrusion. You do it at the NVZN mini game that you can see on the map.

16. You create it after finishing Tools of the Trade, teleport to the train and fast travel to the bottom train of Brandon. Then create the Cash Run where you fall down (like in the Any% run when taking that train)

18. After finishing Collateral, drive up to this location → ** https://imgur.com/a/ZYmwQ5X ** and create the Cash Run

19. Create that Cash Run after taking the City Hotspot (right next to the Wards CC)

20. After finishing Wards CC and getting the Private Intrusion, go to the Pawn Shop (there's a City Hotspot on the way, get it) and create a Cash Run.

21. Just like in the Any% run.

22. Create it after finishing the ctOS Tower, at the lift part.

23. Create next to that pool, after taking that last City Hotspot here. It's at that big building → ** https://imgur.com/a/LG1PJl5 **

24. Create it on the way to the Mad Mile CC. It's next a Cash Run minigame on the map here → ** https://imgur.com/a/T3HXHtv **

25. Just when you finish Mad Mile CC, create the Cash Run just like in Any%.

26. Create it like in Any%. Don't forget that City Hotspot on the way to that location.

27. After the Private Intrusion and those 2 City Hotspots, create it next to the next mission.

28. After the ctOS Breach and the QR Code, take the route (like in Any%) and create a Cash Run around this area → ** https://imgur.com/a/YCRngyR **

29. On the way to the QR Code (at the dam), create the Cash Run a street ahead of the Bider you just hacked.

30. After cruising around for those City Hotspots, create that Cash Run where we do it like in Any%, just next to Hope is a Sad Thing.

31. After Let's Play/Make a Deal started, exit the mission and get the City Hotspot and create a Cash Run.

32. After the two City Hotspots was taken (and after the Serial Killer phonecall), create the Cash Run next to Pit of Paranoia.

100% guide (OUTDATED)

Hello, this is the 100% guide for WD1. You can use this guide for the SP and MP category, because there are no such differences except the fact that one doesn't have the online content and the other has. For MP I did another guide for Online contracts, it'll showcase bugs and glitches that are very useful when hacking someone for exemple.

1. I advise to create CR when you think you'll need it later, for example when you can't reach a CB (because you have to hack the TctOS first), or when you run past a collectible and decide to get it later (Name them, it's better than to remember all of them)

2. If you find yourself near a Bar/gunshop etc... Use the SS app, to make sure you get a song, it's worth the try. You can even create a CR in it if you didn't got the song you wanted, quit the game on the menu, go back in the game and TP to your CR and get your song.

3. Make sure you minimize your travel time when getting the CHs specifically (other collectibles or side missions). We don't want to lose time in a such long run.

4.  Here is what collectibles you can get during missions :

#**Route**

#**ACT 1**
So, first starting the Bottom of the Eighth, when outside go for the TctOS where we usually go in Any%. Then load last autosave and finish the mission.
(Note : One time I got a weird bug when I profiled NPCs they were all giving me songs. I don't know how to make it consistent though.) 
Now do 'They can't hide' crime detected mission (make sure to get 19/20 crime detected before going for MPEND).

Then just do everything in PS that are under 'Big brother' mission marker, you can do it how you feel like it. Make sure to do chess/cup game/CB/PL/etc...
Now after 'Big brother', we also do like in Any%. 

Create a CR to the Bunker and after that go to the Willis (W) tower and do the CH/CRG/PL and CB(sometimes the CRs doesn't work, and I have no idea how to fix this. If it happens, create a CR there and try again later). Make sure you do it in this order. Like that when you end the CB(you hack the last one in the garage), you go straight to the big tower in front of you and do it's CH. After that go to Millers and do the drinking game + CH. 

Then do backstage pass, and go to the TctOS S. Before that do the NVZN mini game. You can do it when arriving to TctOS or after Backstage pass, you choose. You can clean the South part of the Loop, I have my own way to do so (you can leave some or eveything for future missions, for exemple after A2M11). 

Then do 2Xthetap, and start backseat driver. After starting backseat go for the WT/QR/PL/CH, like said in my splits, you can choose which one you start first, watch out for the scanners. Go for TctOS C and then clear the center (leave some you can do during missions). After that create a CR next to ambrose to TP there later in Defalt condition. 

Go for Open your world, in the tunnel there's a WT, get it. After going out (when there's going to be scanners), go for the PL. (it's on your left when going out of the garage). You may also do the CH where the PL is. Just lose track of the scanners and go there. Go for Thanks for the tip, after escaping the fixers go for the PL. Then go see Damien and get the CHs here. You can also use the SS app next to the little shop(next to the eternity sculpture). 

Do the TctOS in the top right and CHs around there. Use the FT you've gotten in PS (the one in the dirt tracks), and go on the road by jumping out of a cliff, create a CR there (for when we'll go to Pawnee). Then get all collectibles, etc... In PS. 

Create a CR to the cemetery for No turning back 2nd part. Don't forget the CH too. Use the train to get to Not the pizza guy and demand a bike (Kodachi), sometimes the game doesn't give right away a bike. It's better to demand one. Then do Wrench in the works. Then use the CR/Train to go to Dressed in peels. 

#**ACT 2**
FT to Hold on, kiddo, make sure to get a bike here. Before going into the mission get the PL next to it. 

Now here's the tricky part, what you're going to do is simple. FT with a train near Breakable things, create a CR where the missions is going to take place in. Then go get the MP under the bridge, then get on the train tracks with a bike and go for the QR next to the CB (the one you can't get. I recommand to put a CR there), then go to the CB (the one you can get, near the gunshop), during the CB unlock the WT door and finish both of them. After Breakable things, get the CH, then go get the PL/WT/QR. Then you can FT to collateral. Example :

Ignore my tedious attempt, I thought the Unreachable CB where reachable, guess not... That video is a lazy representation of my route, my splits may be contradictory sometimes, that's why I recommand to do your own route.

After Collateral, TP with The CR we've made earlier and start OFIAG, when going to Tobias shop get the BP. After killing the fixer, get a bike and get the QR by jumping on the ramp. Finish the mission. 

After OFIAG start BSTI. Finish it. Now get out of the Bunker and get a bike and go to the W ctOS, after completing it, get the CH at it's West position. Get the PL that is to it's South position. 

Get some CHs on the way and create a CR where By all means necessary will spawn. During the mission get the BP, after the mission's done, go to the PL next to it. Clean everything in the wards, but don't touch the LeftTctOS, the NWT, and the MPL <-(near the tricky towers)[we're going to do them during missions]. FT to Grandma's bulldog. Finish it. 

Start Not a job for Tyrone, when B get out of it's house, go straight to the TctOS that is near the train tracks. Then, get the WT that is on top of B final destination. After the mission's done, use the train FT to go to Uninvited, at the start of it, go do the TctOS. After killing the viceroys, go get the PL, and end the mission. 

Then go for Breadcrumbs. When going to chase the boat, get yourself a boat (there's one infront of the first bridge you see, park it to an easy place to get to). When arriving to the Marina, get the list and kill everyone, skip dialogues and get the Marina's CH, then go for the MP at the Lighthouse + CH. After getting the CH at the light house, load last autosave. When spawning back on land, order a bike and do the CB. Go for MM ctOS and create a CR there (for the HT), get the CH and finish MM ctOS. On the way to the TctOS get some CHs, then get the QR. 

Try cleaning the East side of MM. Before starting SITA, create a CR there, it's where the final QR code mission spawns at. 

When going to Risky bid, get the BP on the way, finish it and get the HT guy next to the coast. Before starting Parental figure, get the CH. Finish the mission then get the HT guy. Get to Rossi-fremonts bar and finish the drinking game here, then finish Planting a bug and get the 2 PLs remaining, I don't remember which ones, sorry. Then get the HT guy next to the TW ctOS. 

FT to Way off the grid and finish it. 

#**ACT 3**
TP to the Pawnee CR and go to Pawnee ctOS, before that get the QR next to the bridge. Normally here in my splits it shows 'P ALL', don't do that. You can skip it and finish Pawnee later when going to do the side missions for exemple. Go finish the drinking game and start HIAST, when going to the bar, get the BP. 

Start and finish Pit of paranoia and finish the last MP mission, then get the CH here. 
From here, you're gonna finish the mission like normal until Little sister (don't forget the CHs, if there is any). If there is some collectibles or whatever beside it, you can get it. 

#**ACT 4**
FT to Little sister with the L or else, get the BP here and when done go for the TctOS, the CB and the BC (If the BC isn't there, create a CR here for later). FT to Ghost of the past and get the BC, after the missions done get the CH and BP. FT to No turning back with the HT CR from before, and finish it. 

#**END-RUN**
From now on minimize your travel time to finish the rest of the game and finish it once and for all. I prefer finishing the game when shooting Maurice, like that no need to worry for the credits. You can also find criminal convoys, gang hideouts much faster by hacking NPCs on the streets (the ones with the fist or wheel logo), you can also get some songs if you didn't got all of them. I advise you to do that where there's a lot of NPCs, at MM ctOS for exemple. (Guess I'm done, if there's any problem, let me know)

# **Act 3 Start (Pawnee ctOS)**

After you’ve teleported using the CR created before Act 1 Cemetery, try to get a bike in the parking lot. If you can't find one there, spawn the Sayanora.

Boats have fixed spawns around the entire map, so we use one here. Once you reached the place, drive around the guardrail and into the water to take a convenient boat spawn to go to Pawnee ctOS.

At the Pawnee ctOS control center, [park the boat by backing in](https://youtu.be/exKMfxFwSqU). It doesn’t waste any time because you have to wait for the chief security guy to walk into view anyway. Then hack the cameras to reach the security chief. You can hack the explosion box or the regulator to make the guard easier to hack. There is also a system key in the area, but it wastes time to get.

Route improvement after Pawnee ctOS: Reloading autosave (as shown in the video) is a few seconds faster than docking the boat and jumping off.  If you're not quick enough, you can also reload the autosave after the map cutscene. However, if you time it just right, you can skip the map cutscene by pausing at the right time. Please note that it does matter where you reload autosave at, so try to do it around these general locations. Create a teleport point for going to A3M3 (as shown in the video) and do the [CR save skip](https://youtu.be/7GdBBcm7Tk4).

# **A3M1 (Hope is a Sad Thing)**

Restart mission. You should be able to hack the computer within 10 m (near the road) if you have the proper angle. *It is a couple of seconds faster here to reload autosave after hacking the computer if you're on PC/have fast loading.* Get the system key next to the computer. After hacking the two marina employees, get on a bike. You can blow up the pole/fences with the GL to make the computer easier to hack.

At the abandoned ctOS station, park the bike near the rocks. You can skip the cameras by climbing on the bike to get over the rocks.  You can skip the puzzle entirely by running along the fence. It seems easier to run along the fence, so I suggest not to walk. Bring out the grenade launcher and shoot the door open down there. This should be faster than hacking the explosion on the other side. Get the system key on your way out.

After you access the ctOS tower, reload the autosave. This saves about 50 seconds of waiting time (this removes the hideout you would normally get as a reward) and spawns you outside near a bike. You can also skip the map cutscene by getting into the pause menu at the same time as the autosave, but it is frame perfect. Drive to Jed’s bar.

If you are playing on patches 1.05 or newer, you can do a strat to make T-bone stand up and skip the first pouring animations for himself/Aiden at the bar. It involves shooting the GL during the cutscene.

At the scrapyard, collect all the items (system key, electronic parts, proximity IEDs). Also pick up the AC-AR if you don't have a sniper rifle. Some of T-Bone's dialogue can be skipped by staying out of range from his voice. Watch my run to see how to do it because you have to drive close to T-bone sometimes. The wooden bridge is a good reference point. Don’t skip the dialogue that includes the "art", "I think I like you", "If you blow your arm off" lines. Also don’t skip the dialogue after the second objective for “Follow T-bone” comes up. This should allow you to leave without failing the mission when T-bone tells you to swing by the gas station. You can’t skip all of his lines, or else the mission zone timer will fail you.

You can also do a slightly risky strat during this mission to skip the news broadcast after this mission. If you investigate the missing persons location for Michelle Strauss, you can skip the news broadcast about her & the serial killer. You can do this skip without losing any time. But you have to make sure that you don't skip too much dialogue at the junkyard (by leaving too quickly), or else you will have to wait until T-bone finishes all of his lines first before leaving the area.  For example, if you manage to skip the "If you blow your arm off", "Well hell",  lines and lines after, you will need to wait until T-bone finishes talking (and maybe a couple of seconds after to be safe) to not fail the mission when you reach T-bone's truck. You also don't need to get off the bike to investigate the body (as shown in the video).

After you’ve taken T-bone’s truck to the trap, use the grenade launcher to take out all of the enemies in the vehicles.

When driving to the next mission, you want to create a cash run to use to teleport to For the Portfolio (A3M5) later and do the [CR save skip](https://youtu.be/7GdBBcm7Tk4). See the top left route.

# **A3M2 (A Pit of Paranoia)**

Before starting this mission, you can jump off the bike to skip Aiden’s dialogue (only if you didn't do the news broadcast skip). Only jump off around when Clara says “good”. Otherwise, see the Act 3 M1(Hope is a Sad Thing) & M2(Pit of Paranoia) - News Broadcast skip video above to see the driving route to this mission.

Also, instead of doing the cash run route, you want to drive the whole way to create a cash run for A3M4 (The Future is in Blume) start.

Restart the mission.

Once you’ve reached the trailer park, don’t drive your bike past the helicopter (you’ll get detected). Profile both security chiefs with cameras and the helicopter. Also get the system key. Use one grenade shot to destroy the fence and another to kill the security chief behind it. Find your own reference point to shoot the grenades.  Or use the sniper rifle to kill the security chief because it's easier.

We take advantage of the fact that the first security chief never has the security clearance. Only the second security chief does. So the second one is killed using the exploding junction box when he walks past it. Hack his Blume ID.

You can also do a faster but riskier strat here: Instead of waiting for the second security chief to walk past the explosive box, you can kill him using the grenade launcher. You can climb up on some rocks to kill both security chiefs from there with the GL. You can also hack the car alarm to distract the first chief. This strat is not easy though because you do need to have a good enough drive, time the profile/positioning of the guy behind the fence with the car hack, and aim well with the GL.

Alternatively, you can also just shoot the guy behind the fence from that spot with the GL using only two shots and hack the explosion box for the other guy if you want to be safe.

Go to A3M3 via the teleport point you created earlier. After you teleport to the place, take a bike to the next mission.

Restart mission. Take the muscle car (or the bike behind it) and park in the front of the path of the convoy. Also hack the traffic lights to make the cars come faster towards you (if needed). Throw an IED on the windshield of the armored truck. Shoot the grenade launcher at the left part of the windshield. That’s two explosions, so the enforcer in the truck should die from that. Destroy the other vehicles with the grenade launcher.

If you created the cash run earlier because of the news broadcast skip, you want to use it to teleport to this mission (after the previous mission is completed - wait for the mission complete text to pass first).

### **Non-Reload Autosave Strats**

Restart mission. Take the fastest car on the road. Switch to a bike when you reach the parking lot. Drive the bike inside.  Use the grenade launcher to shoot the two guards in the middle. The grenade launcher does not fail the mission for some reason. It also makes all the other guards in the area go check out the body. So you don’t have to kill the other ones. Park your bike. Then activate the ctOS boxes. On the way back from the second box, be careful not to alert the guards on the other side of the wall. After the cutscene finishes, take the bike outside. The riskier strats for this mission are:

The new strat has you use cameras to hack the ctos box. Hack the attract to force the guard inside the room and then use his camera to hack the ctOS box. This is faster than running to the ctOS box on foot and reloading autosave by 2 secs (more if you have slow loading).

Open up the cash run menu before you reach the bike and access it quickly (otherwise it will force you back to the start of the bike trail). # **A3M5 (For the Portfolio)**

When you reach the scrapyard, use the giant electric trap to kill the first guy. But don’t activate the trap until you’re halfway up the stairs. Bring the bike up there if you intend to do the T-bone dialogue skips. Kill everyone else in the same order as I do. Make sure to go to T-bone immediately after you kill everyone. Be sure to have 4-6 proximity IEDs ready. Throw down one and a regular IED in the appropriate spot.

The second set of guys do not spawn in the same place every time. Activate the electric trap to the left in case someone spawns there. Shoot everyone else in the same order as I do. Place down the second proximity IED after you kill the second set of guys. Also get the unstable chemical component (make a proximity IED if you are maxed out). Then throw a proxmity IED down next to where you picked up the unstable component.

Use the grenade launcher (and a proximity IED) to destroy the incoming cars. Activate the giant electric trap after. Then activate the smaller electric trap behind and the regular IED (if there are enemies still there). Only the electric traps are worth it to use here because they’re the only ones that are instant kill. Kill anyone that’s left by using the U100/AK-47 or grenade launcher (But be careful because you want to save ammo if doing the T-bone dialogue skips later).

For the next set of enemies, throw two proximity IEDs in the appropriate spots. Also make sure to move the bike if you intend to use it for the T-bone dialogue skips. When the truck is under the giant trap, activate it. Shoot and kill anyone that’s left.

Make sure to bring your bike down to the last area with enemies if doing the T-bone dialogue skips. For the last group of enemies, you can follow the same order as I do. Otherwise find your own fast way to kill the guys there.

### **Aiden Dialogue Skips**

If you have fast loading and don't want to do the T-bone dialogue skips, reload the autosave to teleport closer to the boat. However, it is faster to drive to the boat with the bike if you still have it. Then open up the phone menu prior to entering the boat. After you get inside the boat, drive to the other side on the right, then exit and find a fixed bike up there to do some dialogue skips.

### **T-bone Dialogue Skips**

Otherwise you can do the T-bone dialogue skips with the bike that you drove here with. The T-bone dialogue skips can only be done with a controller on this mission because it allows you to aim from the phone menu. First, you have to block T-bone's path with a bike to prevent him from entering the boat; you must do this correctly though so that he doesn't warp to the boat also. Make sure the front tire of the bike is to the outside of the building next to the wall. You must then use the grenade launcher to knock T-bone to the ground to skip his dialogue like you normally would if Aiden was to do a dialogue skip. To prevent T-bone from ragdolling and staying on the ground for a long period of time, you should blow up T-bone when he's not on top of the bike or when he's not on the ground; that should allow for faster dialogue skips.

Be ready to teleport to A3M6 after A3M5 is complete. You can use focus to help you get the cash run before the dialogue and save a few seconds. If you don’t get it before Aiden starts talking, do the teleport after.

# **A3M6 (By Any Means Necessary)**

Restart mission.

Getting a vehicle at the start of By Any Means Necessary is faster than running all the way. You just need to trigger the dialogue first before getting in the vehicle. However, there won't always be a vehicle. I use a blackout here to run a straighter line towards Rossi-Fremont on foot. You don’t actually need to use one to run past everyone, but you need one for driving past everyone with a vehicle.

You can use grenades/explosives to get a couple of small dialogue skips at the entrance, but they are very short. Instead of doing that, you can kill/take down the enforcer near the entrance and obtain the ATSG shotgun from him while waiting for dialogue.

Right before you enter the building, open up the phone menu and keep it up to run past the first checkpoint inside and skip the freeze there. For the first two enemies in the building, just shoot them. You can pick up an unstable chemical component while waiting for the elevator. Use a grenade launcher to kill the guys in the elevator.
After the elevator, do this. The helmet guy might sometimes be in your way, so kill him if he is.

Use a blackout in the room with the first enforcer. Grab the electronic parts near the first ladder.

Ignore the guys up the ladder. You might want to wait a little bit for the enforcer in the hallway. Wait till he gets close enough to be caught by the other explosion. Then shoot him with the grenade launcher. If another guy gets close in the hallway, you can kill him with the shotgun to be safe. Run past everyone else in the hallway. Also try to pick up the U100 from the dead enforcer if you were able to kill him and don't have the weapon yet. You can also shoot at the wall behind where the enforcer appears to knock him down to the ground in order to skip the waiting.

After the second set of ladders, you want to have your grenade launcher/U100 ready. Shoot the grenade launcher down in the floor for the guys in front. Then climb over the broken wall. Switch to the rifle and shoot everyone else. Be warned that you can’t switch weapons while climbing something. Hack the explosive panel if someone is there.  Or use the U100 to kill everyone instead. The riskier strats here would be to kill fewer people and just run past them.

If the two guys behind the blinds are static, you can just climb over and shoot them both. Alternatively, explode the terminal run past them both, but take the doorway.

On the top floor, if you hold w + a (forward and left) or w + d (forward and right) instead of just w (forward) (basically going in the direction where Aiden is opening the doorknob) when going through the 3 doors leading up to the server room, it will skip Aiden's little stumbling against the door animation.

On the roof, you can do dialogue skips with grenades/IEDs. I would not use IEDs because you can save them for later, but you could use the grenade launcher/grenades for it. This is also where Japanese saves about 25 secs due to the dialogue being much faster: https://youtu.be/efbijRkrEss

Watch how I kill the enemies. You might figure your own way to kill them. Set things up before they spawn. Collect the IEDs that are around.

For the super enforcer and Iraq, place down multiple IEDs with proximity IEDs in spots that you would expect them to spawn. The multiple explosions should damage them more. To kill Iraq with just IEDs, you want to place down 4 IEDs (one proxy and 3 normal IED) at each location. If you picked up the ATSG-12 shotgun from earlier, use that to shoot the enforcer and Iraq. You can also use a grenade launcher to keep knocking the super enforcer down, but that's the slowest strat.

Try to pick up the ATSG-12 and the U100 from the dead bodies if you didn't get them earlier. You can also do a dialogue skip with Aiden here to skip his lines as shown in this video, but you won't be able to pick up any weapons unless the bodies are close.

# **A4M1 (Someone's Knocking)**

Don’t restart mission here because it doesn’t do anything. This mission is all about hacking, so practice it and check the hacking puzzle guide if you need a reference. The second and third hacks in this mission are the same, but the third hack just has some extra minor annoyances.
After completing the mission, go outside and use the teleport to A4M2 (after Aiden is done talking).

# **A4M2 (In Plain Sight)**

Restart mission.

This mission has a strat that may or may not work. Try killing civilians at the start of the mission to make them call the cops earlier. If it works, you will save a lot of time because you will need to escape from the police here to progress.

The van will spawn in one of two spots. While you’re running towards a vehicle, you can look down the road to see if the WKZ van is there; you should see a red tint/light down there if it is. If you don’t see a van in the first spot, move to the second spot. It seems 70-80 meters is a safe distance to stand away from the vans. Practice shooting the grenade launcher at the vans from that range at both locations. You can skip one line of dialogue from Aiden by bailing out of the vehicle (Don't do this if you manage to get the early scans from killing a ped early). Switch to one of the fast vehicles that spawn near both van locations.

When the scans start to show up, you want to be detected. Use the blackout a couple seconds after you are detected. Don’t activate a blackout at the same time the police spawn because that can bug things out. Watch the videos to see where to drive to. A second blackout can be used if you have an extra one. # **A4M3 (The Rat's Lair)**

Restart mission. After hacking the terminal and watching the cutscene, place lures or IEDs on both sides of T-bone's car door. Then go up the stairs. Use the indicated camera and keep spamming the button to move T-bone. Just direct T-bone to the stairs and exit out of the camera to use a blackout.

Blocking T-bone's car doors will make the autosave appear sooner for some reason. When you see the save icon appear, reload the autosave. This skips dialogue on the phone. If there is a bike, take it to the next place.

Start driving to the intersection before the Ambrose Theater. Stop your bike in between the steam pipe and the intersection. Use proximity IEDs and the grenade launcher to blow up all of the fixer vehicles. These cars spawn randomly, so practice this part. There is a fast mission completion that can happen randomly here. It tends to happen more often if you shoot the grenade launcher well, but that doesn’t guarantee it to happen. The A4M4 start is just up ahead, so take the bike up there if it’s not destroyed.

# **A4M4 (The Defalt Condition)**

Restart mission. You have to restart the mission here, or else the mission will fail because the destroyed vehicles from A4M3 will scare the guests. One strat is to hack the terminal on the side of the building to unlock the door. The other faster strat is to hack the bouncer's phone or use jam coms + the pistol to jog faster.

You can hack cameras through the door by using some weird camera manipulation, allowing you to "skip" the wait for the Demarco dialogue. This camera strat is tricky so I show my reference here on the left. There is a time save of about 10 seconds if you do the new strat well. You have to wait until the autosave before you complete a hack on someone (otherwise you have to hack an extra person), but you can profile everyone first. Another reference point from Alienarea: "*Dont sprint into the door, micro adjustments when you're against the right side of the door should do the trick.*"

I also have my own pattern of profiling the people inside, but I’m not sure if it’s actually the fastest. There are also a couple of system keys you can get inside, but you shouldn’t need them.

After finishing the hacking puzzles, a blackout occurs. My camera glitched out here on my 3:24:48 run. Reload your autosave if the same thing happens to you (Do it earlier than I did in that run and make sure to wait for the autosave first).

When you’re running up the stairs to chase Defalt, you can pick up a blackout. Run past everyone outside unless someone gets too close. Shoot him with the shotgun if that happens.

You can trigger the final autosave outside earlier by jumping on the vents, but it is safer to run down the stairs. You'll want to reload the autosave if you want to do the blackout strat in the next mission.

The Defalt car chase can be skipped. Hacking the blockers will glitch Defalt’s car and prevent him from driving the car forward. You want to spam the button while running to the car. Flipping Defalt’s car over will force him out of the vehicle. This also skips dialogue from T-bone. Flip his car over before T-bone says "All right. You stay close just like that." If you fail to flip the car over before he says that, you will lose 20-30 seconds.

After killing Defalt, you can bail out of the car to skip some dialogue. Watch my run for reference. Use the fast travel at the train station to go to A4M5. Or you can use the same teleport you created near the Brandon Docks ctOS. By using the cash run teleport, you can skip more dialogue and do blackout strats for Little Sister.

Skipping the dialogue of Aiden in the T-bone call is questionable. The mission can already pop up when you’re on the ground or in the vehicle.

# **A4M5 (Little Sister)**

Restart mission. Go and hack the terminal. You can use a blackout during this mission  to allow Nicky to run past the enemies. There is no need to reload the autosave to make it more consistent. To make sure it is nighttime during this mission, you have to teleport to this mission with a cash run instead of using the train.

Once Nicky starts going to the car, get in the truck and drive out of the area. Just be careful not to drive out of the area too early before Nicky gets away (because you will have to enter the area again and exit to end the mission).

Take a cash run teleport to A4M6. After you teleport, the route depends on which cash run you made earlier after Hold On, Kiddo. If you did the normal strats, get on the bike. Then jump off the bike to get some dialogue skips. But if you did the reload autosave strats, you can get a performance car in a parking lot near the gas station and use that or another random vehicle to do a couple of dialogue skips on the way to the mission.

# **A4M6 (Ghosts of the Past)**

Restart mission. All you have to do in this mission is just follow the same path I did in my run. Just be careful not to drive into the water or fail to go up the hill.

After you finish the mission, teleport to A4M7 using the teleport point you created earlier. If there are no parked cars, take the fastest car on the road.

# **A4M7 (No Turning Back Part I)**

Restart mission. Run to the fixed bike and take that to the next objective.
The mayor cutscenes can’t be skipped, so you’ll have to wait.

After you’ve hacked the hotel security, take the bike inside. But you have to be careful here. Don’t go too fast to the hotel because you can drive past the checkpoint before it shows up. Drive the bike to the elevator and hack it. Then use your shotgun/grenade launcher/U100 to kill anyone that gets close. While you're waiting for the elevator, you can pick up an electronic part inside the security room if needed.

After the QTE, you can hack a system key inside that room. When you reach the rooftop, use the blackout. That should allow you to run past everyone.

When you’ve reached the next room, reload the autosave. This removes the blackout effect and allows you to hack the blinds. In the room with Lucky, you can use the cover system to move quicker. Get the blackout on the counter when Lucky is talking. Doing dialogue skips in this area doesn't save any time. Unfortunately, you can’t skip this long cutscene.

After you exit the hotel, use the blackout. When jumping off the roof, you want to land on the slightly raised elevation of the floor. Take the boat and drive out of the circle.

Teleport to A4M8 using the teleport point you created earlier. This teleport requires a slight adjustment. Open up the phone menu before you exit the circle. If you’re using KB/M controls, don’t use your mouse to select the cash run challenges app. Use arrow/whatever keys you use to highlight the cash run challenges app before the mission is complete. Then all you have to do is hit one button to access the app once the mission completes.

# **A4M8 (No Turning Back Part II)**

This mission is automatically started, so no mission restart is used here unless you mess up the cash run to this mission. You can do some dialogue skips while waiting for the cutscene to start. If you made a cash run closer to the cemetery, you can skip both of Aiden's lines. Bail out of the car around when Damien says “was the one who sold you out” to skip the first Aiden line.  Then bail out of the car/bike when Damien starts to say “How could you let her play you?” to skip the second Aiden line.

Switch to the U100 to shoot everyone at the cemetery. Activating the blackout here should freeze the enemies in their position.

Teleport back to the hideout after the mission is complete.

# **A5M1 (Sometimes You Still Lose)**

Spawning a Sayanora before this mission is worth it if you want to go for it. You can also spawn a Sayanora while going into the container, but you need to be quick and open up the phone menu before Aiden interacts with the door. Taking a bike here isn't too risky if you activate a late blackout and take the same route as me.

### **Route with No Dialogue Skip**

Don’t restart mission because it doesn’t work. The driving route for this mission is important, so follow the same one as me. Activate the blackout before Damien says “you are in for a show”. That should prevent Damien from messing you up.

Here’s the important thing about the route. If you trigger a steam pipe explosion After T-bone is finished talking, Damien will call you. That means you also need to waste a few seconds on the drive. The Damien phone call is important because you want to get rid of it earlier. This phone call will actually happen at the central ctOS building if you’re too fast. It will prevent you from continuing because you will have to wait until it’s finished first.

### **Route with Dialogue Skip**

You can do a dialogue skip before leaving the bunker island and still get the early Damien dialogue at the right time, but you do need a good drive to save as much time as the left comparison. It is also riskier because it's easier to crash since you are driving much faster.

The final hacking puzzle is not that hard to do once you understand it. Take it one step at a time. The point of the hack is to get all the blue lines to the final node. But the red switches all (I call the things you rotate around as switches) have a 2.5 second timer. There are also locked nodes that you have to unlock to get to the final node. Unlocking the nodes will open up another switch. These unlocked switches will also have a timer. Follow these steps in order for guidance *(See the **[hacking puzzle tutorial](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1etGW6md8X3buJa0XZINauZIcs3tRgDQL3BTtEBqN6DI/edit?usp=sharing)** if you need more assistance)*:

1. Rotate the two switches to unlock the node closest to the final one. After you unlock that node, you have to rotate the switches so that the blue lines don't go through them (make it so that the lines are white). If you don't do that, the timer will run out. In other words, you rotate the switches to remove the timer. You can do that for each and every node you unlock. That is what makes the hack possible because otherwise the timer will run out. Rotating the red switches will not make a timer appear unless you connect them with the blue lines. 

2. Rotate the switches to unlock the node at the bottom right. Remember to rotate the switches back again to remove the timer. Now you have everything unlocked. 

3. Check the entire puzzle. Try figuring out how you will get the blue lines to the final node. Just take some time thinking about how you're going to rotate the switches so that the blue lines will reach the final node. Keep trying it and you will figure out how to rotate the switches. 

You just have to think about where the blue lines go when you rotate the switches. Just keep trying it over and over again. Be sure to check my run also. Slow the video down if you have to.  You can reload an autosave to try again. Once you've memorized how to rotate the switches, do it to complete the hack.

After the blackout, the rest should be self-explanatory. Take the bike down to the boat if you did the Sayanora strats. Go to the lighthouse and finish the game. It is faster to enter the lighthouse through the back by climbing on some rocks. You can also climb onto the railing of the lift as it is going up. To do this, you have to climb as you are aiming the gun. You need to climb the lift when the fence is preventing Aiden from vaulting over the lift. Continue aiming the gun until you have climbed onto the lighthouse.

The reason the run doesn’t have the epilogue is because the community agreed to not include it, so the timer ends when you shoot Damien.

Any% News Stand Robberies & Where to Obtain Money (Buying the Sayonara)

In any%, we want to get enough money to obtain the Sayonara bike that costs $10000. These news stands can be robbed during Act 1 without losing time to obtain the money. There are seven (7) *[or 8 depending on the RNG in Open Your World]* news stands that can be robbed regularly during runs. Aside from these news stands, the gun shop in Foresight and pawn shop in Tools of the Trade are also robbed. **Warning: Robberies can sometimes cause people to call the cops if they see you have your gun out.**

If you still haven't obtained the Sayonara by then:

- During Not the Pizza Guy (A1M7) or after Tools of the Trade (Act 2) - You can rob the gun store if you are going for grenade launcher strats.
- Tools of the Trade (Act 2) - You should rob the pawn shop since you don't want to buy stuff there.
- End of A2M6 (Jury-Rigged) - You can rob the café or bar, but you have to be quick about it.
- A2M8 (Not a Job for Tyrone) - Rob the clothes store/use the ATM near the start of the mission. You can also rob two news stands within the area.
- In Uninvited (A2M9), you can rob two news stands in the area while waiting to hack Bedbug's phone if you arrive there with a bike (only one if you switch to a bike after arriving there). You can also rob the pawn shop after the mission (after you buy stuff from there first).
- In Breadcrumbs (A2M10), you can hack people and use the ATM. You may also be able to rob 4 news stands within the area while waiting for the briefcase at the start of the mission. Then you might be able to rob 2 more while following the boat/after leaving the marina.

This one can be done near the end of the mission without losing time if you get an early bike or if you don't do the dialogue skips. You should not be doing this if you also do the "crank caller" call skip earlier in the mission. This news stand is probably one that should not be done and isn't needed in the run.

# **Map Fast Travel**

This is an intended mechanic in the game. By accessing the map, you can teleport to hideouts throughout Chicago.

You can also teleport to train stations around Chicago by accessing the maps at each train station.

# **Using Sprint to Reload Your Gun Instantly**

When pressing the sprint button, press the reload button. This works with shotguns, assault rifles, and snipers.

For sniper rifles, you first press sprint and wait maybe half a second and then press reload.

# **Cover Mechanics on Foot**

You can use the cover mechanics in this game to move faster in places where you cannot run. Pressing the cover button can make your character slide. There are only a couple of places this is used.

# **Run/Sprint Boost**

It consists of holding the sprint button, stop holding, then immediately holding it again and repeating it to conserve an extreme amount of speed. It work best without any carried weapons; one-handed guns are the worst for it. Running without any carried guns is best for top speed.

**Note: Forced crouching on some missions while not running limits the use of this trick.**

In restricted areas, either:

1. run like normal
2. Get detected to be able to run boost
3. If not either of these cases, you may be able to run boost.

# **Hacking Puzzles**

Doing these fast requires practice. When you do them enough times, you can figure out a pattern to memorize and complete them quickly. The puzzles can be simplified to memorizing how many times you press the button at each node. The nodes normally rotate in a clockwise motion. # **Restart Mission**

You can skip the opening cutscene of every mission in the game that has one. When you start a mission, simply go into the menu, and restart the mission to skip the opening cutscene.

*Examples:*

- Side Missions - Street Sweep
- A1M2 – Fading Signal
- A1M3 – Needs of the Few
- A2M1 – Bait
- A2M2 – Illusions: does not skip the cutscene entirely but makes it shorter
- A2M3 – Bad Medicine

# **Reload Autosave**

This is like the restart mission strat, but you use this one in the middle of a mission instead. Reloading autosaves can teleport you and/or skip things in the run. Be sure to wait for the save icon to pop up before reloading the autosave.

*Examples:*

- A1M1 (T-Bwned) - If you do the strat to kill all enemies outside the ctOS center, you can reload autosave to teleport closer to the silo and get a more consistent bike spawn.

- A1M2 (Fading Signal) – After triggering the first autosave after mission start, you can teleport closer to the objective.
- A1M3 (Needs of the Few) – A short teleport from elevator to outside.
-  Before A2M2 Start (Illusions) – This is only used for the WKZ skip because it resets the phone dialogue and allows you to reach the mission before the conversation finishes.
-  A2M2 (Illusions) – There are two of them here:

1. Teleports from lift to sniper perch.
2. Teleports from container to ship.
• A3M3 (The Verdict) – After Tobias opens door, use this to teleport closer to the maze. It is faster because you are locked to slow walking.

You start game with 2 meds, 2 electronic parts, 2 unstable chemical components, 2 chemical components, 1 frag grenade, silenced pistol, 1 lure, and M1014 shotgun.

- A1M1 (T-Bwned) – Goblin (pick up from guard), ctOS Scan (optional)
- A1M2 (Fading Signals) – Random items can be obtained from bags during this mission (system keys, electronic parts, chemical components, etc.) (optional)
- A1M3 (Needs of the Few) – Electronic Part (Hideout), Unstable Chemical Component (Hideout), System Key (Laser Room)
- A2M1 (Bait) – System Keys (randomly from NPCs)
- A2M2 (Illusions) – System Key (1st time in room with hacking puzzle), M107 sniper rifle, System Key (Ship), System Key (2nd time after reloading autosave), System Key (on roof), Chemical Component in container (optional)
- A2M3 (Bad Medicine) – U100, grenades/IEDs from enforcer
- A3M1 (Ghosts) – ATSG-12 (optional), System Key, 4 grenades (outside after exiting building)

# **Optimal Skills Unlocked in Any%**

- A1M3 (Needs of the Few) - Bullet and Explosion Resistance while in the elevator: useful for the bomb jump in this mission and dialogue skips later.
- A2M2 (Illusions) – Bullet and Explosion Resistance while on the lift: useful for dialogue skips later. This is for if you don't obtain them in A1M3 (Needs of the Few).
- A3M2 (Hold the Line) - Obtain IED skill before the mission for dialogue skip in elevator/killing enemies faster during the mission.

# **Dialogue Skips (Jumping out of Vehicles/Blowing Yourself Up)**

You can skip dialogue of your character (Aiden/T-bone) by jumping out of vehicles or blowing yourself up (requires explosion resistance) so that your character is on the ground. Your character must be talking to another character for this to work (on phone or in person). This strat is not extremely easy to get consistently and does require some timing.

*Examples:*

- Before A1M2 (Fading Signal) – Call with Sheila.
- A2M1 (Bait) – Call with Tobias when he talks about the first 3 guys.
- A2M2 (Illusions) – Call with Tobias after you eliminate all enemies for him to get to the crane controls.
- A2M2 (Illusions) – Call with Tobias at end of mission.
- A2M4 (Connections) – Call with Tobias and call with Defalt (it's best to skip the WKZ line with Defalt).
- A3M2 (Hold the Line) – Call with Tobias.
- A3M2 (Hold the Line) – Talk with Tobias after you kill all enemies. Only the first T-bone line can be skipped by using a grenade.
- A3M2 (Hold the Line) - Talk with Tobias after taking elevator back up. Can only skip one line (preferably the first one) with an IED that you place on the elevator.

# **Quick Taser Kill (Using RC Car)**

It's a quick motion of: aim at the enemy -> G (to deploy RC) -> Left Click (to stun) -> R (to recall RC)

# **Blackout**

Needs to be unlocked in the crafted items skill tree. Requires two system keys and one electronic part to craft.
This tool is one of the most powerful in the game. It allows you to run past enemies without detection and makes escaping enemies (cops/fixers) easier/faster, but these only work at nighttime. Do not use it at the same time as when the enemies spawn because that can cause a softlock.

*Examples*

- A2M3 (Bad Medicine) - Use it to run past the enemies on this mission and escape from police when leaving the area. Might need to be used twice on this mission.
- A2M4 (Connections) - Use it to escape the fixers at the end of the mission. It may not work if you use it too early because the mission can cause the lights to turn on.

# **Smartphone Menu Strat (Breaking the Game)**

The smartphone menu in this game allows you to normally do things that you normally wouldn't be able to if you have it up. It basically prevents some triggers/things from happening if you have it up.

# **FPS Capping**

RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) is used to cap the fps in this game.  Going 60 or below prevents elevators/lifts from bugging out, and going to 20/30 prevents explosions from killing you when you want to do dialogue skips. 10-20 fps is also used to make the cutscene in Ghosts easier to skip.

# **Power Turning**

You can use the focus while in vehicles to make turns at speeds that you normally wouldn't be able to without. Power turning can save time at wide turns by allowing you to take a better line through them. At turns that require you to slow down a lot, you can use power turns to go through them at much higher speeds than by braking. Power turns can be substituted for braking at turns if you know how to use them properly.

Power turns work better with certain cars when wanting to do a 90 degree turn. The cars with 4.5 or 5 handling, and some cars with a 4.5 or 5 handling work weirdly like that and do a U-turn. For the bikes, they all work the same because they have good handling. It's worth trying the power turns with bikes than cars. But if you know how every car reacts to power turns, you can decide to do it or not. But for a majority of cars, they do a nice 90 degree turn.

You just tap on the focus button when you want to turn into whichever direction you want.

# **Digital Trip Warp**

A digital trip can teleport you closer to a mission. It is used in one spot only right now:

- Before A2M2 (Illusions) - Toggle focus after fast traveling to hideout to use the digital trip. Using the digital trip will teleport you closer to the mission and delay the call for the WKZ skip.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoDPhRjr784

# Handbrake Boost

There is a way to use handbraking to speed up your vehicle. It works bests with vehicles that rotate their wheels a lot when accelerating and it can basically "skip" the rotation of the wheels. This works with every vehicle in the game, but it is difficult to do with bikes and you lose time if you handbrake for too long.

- **A1M2 (Fading Signal) RNG/Pattern**
The pattern of enemies for this mission doesn't seem to change unless you restart the game. You can restart the game until you get the pattern that you want. Using save files for this mission will allow you to practice that specific pattern.
- **A2M1 (Bait) Fixer Car Chase Manipulation**
How you make the car turn around for the chase: wait 3 seconds in the car before accelerating, and then try to stay in the right oncoming lane after the turn (this is if you get in the fixer car parked on the opposite side)

- **A2M2 (Illusions) Enemy Spawn Manipulation**
This is for the enemies that spawn when you're on the sniper perch. You will get easier spawns if you make sure that Tobias does not get spotted. After killing the first 3 guys:
Killing the first two guys that spawn in one shot will allow you to skip one wave of enemies, saving several seconds.
- **Pre-A2M3 (Bad Medicine) WKZ Skip**
Here is my explanation of how I think the WKZ skip works. The WKZ announcement will trigger after Bait and the Tobias phone call before Illusions. If you start Illusions before the Tobias phone call finishes,  the WKZ announcement won't happen before Bad Medicine. This is achieved either by reloading the autosave or by getting the cops called on you before Illusions. I reload the autosave because it is more consistent (and saves a system key for a jam com) and spawns me next to a vehicle. It saves at least 30 seconds in the run (skips announcement, T-bone lines, and pop-up).
- **A3M2 (Hold the Line) - Enemies Eliminated without Killing**
After Tobias says, "They sent backup! They're coming in!", there is a chance that the enemies can be eliminated without you killing all of them. It is not known what causes this, but the top 3 runners have experienced this in some capacity.
