You can submit runs without splits, but showing them is appreciated.
Personnaly, i just use the PS3 component cable on it, and then plug it directly into my capture card (AverMedia ExtremeCap U3), also in the PS2 settings i set it to widescreen so that most games are in 16:9 ratio instead of 4:3.
When using the AverMedia program i always get the image and sound, when using OBS Studio though, i sometimes need to restart it to get the image. Once i have it, there's no problems though.
As for the FPS, i just get 30, but i don't expect more since it's PS2 (PAL) anyway. I do get 60 on PS3 though.
Also, since i'm using the PS3 cables and all, all i need to do to record PS3 is to unplug the cables from the PS2 and plug them in the PS3 instead.
Honestly it's just a preference thing, some people like to talk, and some others don't. It's kinda the same for viewers, some of them like it and some other ones can't stand hearing people talk over the game.
As for cheating, from what i've seen, if you have the knowledge it shouldn't matter too much if there's voice or not.
Oh, that reminds me of that guy a while ago, the one that kept cheating in fighting games (mostly MK and SF iirc ?). Oh well, just another guy to ban, i guess.
Hello
- Is Bizhawk allowed for this ?
- Is there any links for the route ?
Well, for PS2, some games had an "Install to HDD" feature, in wich case you could use some (old) HDDs connected to the PS2 via the official Ethernet Adapter part. So for these games, i'd say it's ok since it's intended ?
For the games without it, you can use an HDD too, but it's not intended and you have to use OPL, it can result in faster loading times too...
If you plan on using that for runs though, i'd ask the mods of the games just in case.
Welcome :o
Since 2006 huh ? That's pretty interesting, actually
iirc xbox version was censored a bit, but overall the game is probably not appropriate for GDQs sadly.
