We thought of making some kind of poll to acumulative what most felt about that topic, but then an issue arose of how will it reach the runners. Since the forums are very rarely used or seen by anybody. Because of that we've setup a discord server specifically for speedrunning Jstris, but only one new person joined it since.
So for now we're still undecided on whether to add these. I guess we'll wait either for more people to join the discord server or become active on the forums. And if that won't work out we'll just try to decide by ourselves.

And later that got confirmed by Shiken when he said: “It means they were accepted in the past and now they are not. Whether or not that changes in the future, I cannot say.”.
The rejection message having nothing to do with the contents of the game itself, and Shikens comment, gave me the impression that any new Flash games won't be accepted. But I understand that that is no longer the case and new flash games are fine now? Or were they never banned like that to begin with? Either way, do you think I should try resubmitting that game since the last time there seemingly was nothing wrong with its quality?

I did saw that line in the game request guidelines, but it neither mentions F games being banned completely, nor gives a good reason as to why so. Since as you mentioned, there are good ways to get around Flash being discontinued. Because of that I didn't see how it was relevant to the discussion.
And what do you mean by "legacy flash games"? I'm pretty sure that any games like that can be played through either Flashpoint or standalone so their state on browsers won't matter much.

I've recently heard that any future new flash game suggestions for the site will be immediately rejected regardless of quality. And I wanted to ask if it is true, and if so, why? While flash games are known for their poor quality, due to the majority of them being very bad, there do exist many that are really good, and have great speedrun potential. So rejecting all just because of some being improper doesn't seem like the right answer. Is it because of flash being discontinued soon? Because ways to work around this (standalone Flash, BlueMaxima's Flashpoint) do exist, and are already widely used amongst many flash game speedrunning communities. So that also doesn't seem like a fitting reason.
Are new flash games really not going to be added to the site anymore? And if, then why so? I would greatly appreciate any answers to this.
Today we have opened up a new Jstris server specifically for speedrunning. The main point of it is to have a good place to both talk about Jstris specifically in a speedrunning context, and to be able to better reach the community since noone uses these god forbidden forums. We replaced the official Jstris server with that one, so you can find it on the sidebar of the leaderboard.

The whole thing turned out to be much more than expected, for now 20L Hold is done, rest will come tomorrow. Until then no runs will be verified.
Thanks to site staff we were able to receive a backup from around a week ago of all the runs. They are going to be re-added to the leaderboard in the next 3-4 hours. Though do note that since the backup is not exactly from before the changes, some more recent runs might still end up being lost. If tomorrow you still find a run you submitted to be missing, from any category, we apologize for the inconvenience and ask you to submit it again.
The new leaderboard setup is fucking SICK! Thank you very Sausty for making all the changes, much better now.
That being said... Hold/No Hold subcats for Cheese Races anybody?
How precisely would you want for the categories to look like? Sprint Cheese Race Big Block Invisible Sprint Sprint No Hold Pentomino 0 Finesse Sprint With all other cats made as miscallenous and with each cat having 2-4 subcategories.
More or less something like this? Or did you wanted to group them together in a different fashion?

That might actually be a good idea, but would you be willing to make huge changes like that? As far as I know there is no easy way to move all of the sprint cats in to just one with 4 subcategories. And you would have to make a whole excel sheet of all the runs and then move them to the right subcategory in the "sprint" category one by one.
Ooh, you might be onto something there. Though that would be very difficult. Maybe 100L Big Block No Hold might be cool? 1000L would be too much though, or would it? Either way, I second that idea.
It's very dissapointing to see 20LNH and 40LNH having runs since now it seems they are here to stay on the board, regardless of them having no reason to exist in the first place. 100LNH is fine since it's a longer category so NH has more of an impact, but 20 and 40 line variants do not hold the same water, so I never saw any point in adding them as well. Regardless, could you please add 100L Cheese Race No Hold as well? It's the only cat besides standard 100L that deserves a No Hold variant. And due to how important holding is in cheese races, it would really be a whole new experience to speedrun. Quite difficult too.
Try doing what Sausty mentioned, and check if your runs still can't be replayed after that. Also: are you using any additional scripts or plugins during your game? They may have a great impact on this situation.
Could you link a specific replay that isn't working for you? And do you have any scripts running as you play? There has been rumors that real block can mess with the replay system.

The active players stat on https://www.speedrun.com/games does not actually show the true number of currently active runners for most games on it. On all of the most popular games it is wildly off sometimes by as much as 147 runners! (In the case of Resident Evil 3 (2020)). In reality ROBLOX: Piggy is more popular than it, even though on the main games page they seem 170 players apart! This issue has existed for 6+ months now, is a fix ever coming?
