Showing the boosts on the game page just made this site looks worse in a few ways:

  • Cluttering the page with more unnecessary infos.
  • Gives the impression to newcomers that the website only cares about selling boosts, instead of showcasing speedruns.
  • Almost all game pages will have 0 boosts.

Honestly, who looks at a speedrun leaderboard and cares about how many people boosting it?

Hope this site doesn't go to a similar direction to Twingalaxies, trying to encourage us in showing off pointless "medals" like skill points.

Yes, this could be really useful in some games.

For example, if a game have 10 chapters, and each chapters have 10 levels. Having chapter leaderboards on the full-game section could be messy with 10 different categories. But mixing it with the 100 levels on the IL leaderboard can be messy as well.

Will be good to have two different IL sections, one for the 10 chapters, and one for the 100 levels.

Alterac decks update: Slight updates on Scarvash, Skelesaurus & Rafaam Unleashed for new cards. Also added Waste Warden on the Giantfin decklist, makes the deck quite a lot safer.

Here's my most recent decklists: Decklists: https://imgur.com/a/0LdCIiC Deckcodes: https://pastebin.com/fNh8Dpxx

The main changes are in Phaerix and Slitherspear, using a new deck compared to ssjoen's 2020 run.

Key changes:

Zinaar:

  • I removed some of the boss synergy cards (Mana Addict & Saboteur), don't think they're that useful for the Token Druid gameplan. Only Gibberling is the useful boss-specific card.

Phaerix:

  • Now using the Necrium Apothecary + Deathwing Dragonlord strats.
  • I didn't put in Witchwood Piper to tutor the Apothecary, cause using the combo on turn 5 is usually a bit too late for you to survive next turn. This also allows me to play some cheap defensive minions.

Scarvash:

  • Newer cards helps quite a lot overall, for both early and late game.

Slitherspear:

  • Generic Mechathunlock deck, works well for this fight since this boss have a pretty weak early game. Still normally want to use Depth Charge or Doomsayer early though, within the first 3 turns.

Giantfin:

  • Added Battleground Battlemaster, the extra Windfury occassionally helps finishing the game one turn faster.
  • I tried using Morshan Watch Post, it could easily gives lots of value. But having to attack with lots of tokens costs lots of animation time.

Naz'jar:

  • I tried adding Rolling Fireball to have an extra board clear or removal later on the game. It might help to control the board while allowing your minions to just attack face. Not really important change though.

Skelesaurus Hex:

  • Only change is addition of Golakka Glutton, which is very good since this boss have lots of beasts.

Rafaam:

  • I tweaked the decklist to have minions that AI likes to play. I've removed couple of minions that seems good for this boss, but AI seldom likes to play it unless they have nothing else to play (such as Ancient Watcher and Spirit of the Dragonhawk).
  • AI will now like to play Sir Finley Mrrgglton, which helps a lot by removing his strong hero power.
  • I tried Renounce Darkness on Warlock, but it seems AI seldom plays it. They usually only play it when their board is already full on late game, and have nothing else to play.

Rafaam Unleashed:

  • I removed a lot of the late game cards used on ssjoen's deck, since the new Vol'jin Mechathun trick is faster overall.

Magic Mirror with Mo'arg Artificier + Soulbound Ashtongue: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/283236838347505666/909414845022081044/unknown.png AAEBAcn1AgAP3AbOB/0Rj8cC58sCw/MC7awDv7kD474D6b4Dld4Dk+QDg/sDsZ8E56AEAA==

Summon Moarg Artificier and Soulbound Ashtongue on his side so we could deal super-high damage spell to him on one hit.

I'm using Warlock since it has minion tutor draws (Sense Demons / Free Admission / Dark Portal), lots of cheap damage spells for the final kill, and lots of cheap board clears for his minions.

Haven't tested a lot of this, usually takes turn 6-9. Probably faster than old Apothecary strats since the Apothecary triggers a lot of animation, but I haven't done any proper comparison tests.

is it for a pokemon game? you can ask the series mod to request for the mod position, if none of the other runners are active on the site.

discussione: The Site
Indonesiasrd_273 years ago

I don't know your past issues but I have a question.

Why do you really want to be free from the mod ban? What's the issue in having someone else as a mod?

Most speedrunners I've seen never cared that much on who's mods or not, as long as they have fun speedrunning. It's only an issue if the mods are inactive or if you run a game with no other runners.

  • Font size on leaderboards are too small. Right-side contents took too much space, and I doubt if people really care about contents such as Game Stats to have it take such a huge space on the main leaderboard page.
  • The right-side contents is even more irrelevant on a game series page, especially when series forums are very rarely used.
  • Hard to find the full IL page, the text "Level Leaderboard" on the drop-down menu should be clickable to go to the full IL page at least. Or just show it directly on sidebar instead of having to click the drop-down.

Recent runs feature is neat though, but definitely could be spaced in a different way to not push the actual leaderboard too much.

@IwerSonsch if the moderators are inactive, contact the site staffs through support hub https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/request-moderation

I speedrun Hearthstone PvE adventures and I was curious on how it looks like on another popular card game. Unfortunate to see the original mods went inactive after the game starts to have decent activity.

A profile file from a previous playthrough can bring couple of benefits for a new game that won't be possible on a fresh new playthrough. So it might act like an NG+ mode.

NG+ benefits:

  • Arcade mission: Have to get bronze to progress the story if haven't done it before, so have to spend all 1 minute on that mode. NG+ can just fail the arcade or quit and reload autosave.
  • Switching characters: A fresh NG file can't switch to Scooter or Al before they got unlocked, but you could do it early if another playthrough have done it. This allows you to buy speedup powerup for Al way earlier before he's supposed to be unlocked.

I suggest that Any% should ban skipping Arcade mission, and swapping characters before they got unlocked.

Notmanz's run skips the Arcade, but since there's only 1 runner so far, should be fine letting that run stay on the boards. But probably should ban the NG+ benefits from now on.

And if someone actually do a 100% run, they should obviously start from a blank profile file.

Here are my recent decklists, updated with minor changes as per recent nerfs and mini-set. Decklists: https://imgur.com/a/E2cQGd8 Deckcodes: https://pastebin.com/uqed2StS

Thaurissan:

  • I've replaced Shadow Visions with Cleric of An'she, to increase the chance of getting Apotheosis
  • Also replaced Silence with Ironbeak Owl to help the discover pool as well, usually got a Silence or stat swap card without discovers anyway.

Omokk:

  • Tried putting Unstable Shadow Blast since it removes anything except Boulderfist Ogre

Rend Blackhand:

  • Forgot to try Dragonslayer before, obviously really good for this fight.
  • Don't think I need Dragonmaw Poacher though, since it'll dilute the minion discover pool.

Chromaggus:

  • Put in Desperate Prayer since it seems 2x Greater Healing Potion isn't enough consistent healing.
  • Took out Stubborn Gastropod, since I usually have enough early game.
  • Took out 1x Hysteria cause it's nerfed, isn't as good anymore since I can't use it on turn 6 and get rid of the black curse simultaneously.

Omnotron:

  • Replaced Crabrider with Redgill Razorjaw due to Crabrider nerf

Ragnaros with Grand Finale Mage: https://imgur.com/a/gxfOkIm AAEBAf0EAuyvA/bWAw6KAfgH9Q/rwgKW5AK0/AK/pAP0qwP7sAOEsQP43QP83QPU6gP8ngQA

With bunch of card draws, I always got a Grand Finale or Polkelt within 10 turns (often at turn 8 ) with enough elementals to set it up.

Also often have at least one Platebreaker on hand which lets me kill Ragnaros in two turns after using Grand Finale. Not using Platebreaker might require me to leave Ragnaros at low health, which cost lots of animation time since he'll spend his last turn playing lots of Molten Giant.

When doing the elemental setup before Grand Finale, I prefer to also put a Doomsayer / Depth Charge so all of the board got blown up next turn, and I don't need to waste time trading. Exception if I need an Arcane Artificer + Grand Finale combo to heal.

At the start, it's really important to have a board clear in first 3 turns. Which is why I only have Flame Ward for the secret, so Ancient Mysteries guarantees a Flame Ward.

@garsh To be fair, ELO staff isn't that civilised either in just removing without any correspondence to the removed mod.

Is it hard to send a short message of "You are removed from moderation due to [reasons]"?

Shows how this new support hub just made it more difficult for everyone involved.

Everything would've been clear straight away if the request is made on an open place.

Seems like I'm done with the Heroic BRM decks for now. Decklist: https://imgur.com/a/skJkXbR Deckcodes: https://pastebin.com/Y6Fzq7SN

Notable change that wasn't mentioned on previous posts:

Ragnaros:

  • Majordomo trick doesn't work anymore, so I use Priest 80-damage Mind Blast combo. (Same combo to Tsubaki's old run)
  • Can reduce the combo from 7 cards to 6 cards, if I use Temporus instead of Thaurissan setup. Majordomo getting an extra turn wastes some time though, and also poses a bit of risk cause his deck have lots of bursts.

Drakissath:

  • I think Warlock is better than Hunter. Twisting Nether and DOOM makes it safer, while Hunter have no mass board clear in case things goes bad.
  • Mojomaster Zihi is also unsafe to use for Hunter due to lack of mass board clear. Zihi could speed up the game a lot.
  • Platebreaker is good to reduce armor.

Razorgore:

  • I use BEES + Linecracker combo. I can't make a tempo deck that can be consistently fast and safe, since Razorgore have a strong early game.
  • This combo is also potentially one turn faster than Mechathun, can win on turn 8.
  • Was trying Infectious Sporeling as one of my early game cards, but letting enemy have a Sporeling can be annoying for later.

Vaelastrasz:

  • Tried to remove the Murloc synergy cards, and just depend on 0-mana minions and Pirate synergies for the tokens. Not sure if this is actually better.
  • Tried Embiggen as well but it's not always useful, decided not to put it in for now.

Chromaggus:

  • Newer defensive tools make this fight a lot more consistent than before, probably have at least 80% winrate now if I don't mess up.
  • Arcane Devourer is good, can easily buff it to very high stats, and health increase made it very hard for enemy to kill.
  • I didn't use Auchenais like back in 2019, using regular big minions might be more reliable overall, and Flamestrike buff to 5 damage made it easier for the Auchenai to die.
  • Also put two version of Deathwings, not sure if it's the right choice but both are useful when things goes bad.
  • Still not that sure if my late game choices are the best, but can't find better alternatives for now. Some games can still finish very slowly if I don't get late game on time.

Omnotron:

  • Using Tip the Scales, which can be cast at turn 5 just after enemy played Electron.
  • Probably faster than Gadgetzan, and safer as well since it's easier to draw any of 2x Prismatic Lens / Tip the Scales on my deck.
  • I'll keep card draws and Depth Charge / Doomsayer / Sheep on opening hand.
  • Arcane Golem have a small chance of speeding things up by one turn, if you already have Prismatic Lens on your hand. Also the charge damage might be useful as well.

Maloriak:

  • More good early game cards compared to back on 2019, so it's more consistent overall. I'll still reset on early Abberation though.
  • Win condition usually depend on N'zoth, have Lorekeeper Polkelt and Taelan Fordring to tutor it.
  • Recurring Villain is really good, his deathrattle makes it immortal. Opponent like to trade against it for some reason, they also prefer to use Polymorph / Alchemist / Faceless Manipulator on other minions instead of Recurring Villain.

I don't like locking the feedback thread, feedbacks should've been openly shared and open to comments from other site users.

This will just make repeated comments being sent through the feedback hub, since you can't see what's and what's not posted yet.

Thaurissan with Priest - Apotheosis & DS/IF: https://imgur.com/a/poESmNA AAEBAa0GAA/4AqEG4galCdEK3Aq+D9HBAsfTAv3qAuqJA4OUA6+6A5nqA62KBAA=

Thaurissan have troubled me recently cause the AI now often plays Unstable Ghoul & Abomination, while back then it was bugged where he never played Abomination.

I can't get Hess's Murloc Paladin to be consistent, and my old Mech Priest deck isn't completely consistent either and it tends to be slow. Combo decks don't work well too since you can't use Depth Charge/Doomsayer and Thaurissan can kill you quickly.

This deck is the best I could came up with for a fast-ish deck. I have about 50% winrate maybe with wins usually on turn 7-9.

Strats is to put a big minion on turn 4/5, then play Apotheosis to heal yourself over and over while hitting his face. With DS/IF at the right time, the fight can be over in only 2-3 turns after you play the minion.

The two discover spells are really useful, probably what makes this deck viable to be semi-consistent. This is why I didn't put a lot of spells in the deck, so you're likely to get the important spells from discovers.

Mulligan strats:

  • Most important is to have Apotheosis, need that ASAP
  • Having one discover spell is useful as well
  • Having one early defensive card is good, but probably don't need more than one.
  • One copy of Crazed Alchemist / Void Ripper is good to be kept as well since it reduces lots of damage and keep Moira safe from Thaurissan's deathrattles.
  • DS/IF might not be needed to be kept, since you only use them after setting up Apotheosis
  • A big minion might not need to be kept as well, since you have 8 in the deck.

Cards that I didn't put in:

  • Power Word Glory: Really strong healing for this fight, but it hurts your spell tutoring from your discover.
  • Bittertide Hydra / Mortuary Machine: This is what I tried before I realised I could just put the 4-mana 7-health minions to get the minion on board one turn faster.
