The strats in RE2R was due to knife damage. I thought.
I forgot about nemmy 3. Although that 30 FPS window was fishy.
Pretty sure chart was cutscene bleed. Which was more to display the reason to not use IGT for PC when they planned to use variable FPS. That situation has very little difference comparing 45 fps to 60 fps. the bleeds minimal.
I meant theres nothing in RE3R that is affected by FPS as much as knife damage was in RE2R.
You would have to split base xbox and base ps4 aswell. The difference between base xbox to base ps4 is the same as ps4 to ps4 pro/xbox one x.
Nothing in RE3R is tied to FPS like the knife was in RE2R
xbox one x and ps4 pro are running at the same ish fps now. base ps4 is just abit lower than pro and x. base xbox is at the bottom of the pile.
Before the patch that brought the xbox one x resolution down had it running at base xbox fps. For some reason they thought the xbox x could handle 4k, while leaving the rest of the consoles at 1080.
ps4 pro seems to be more consistent reaching close to 60 continuously though.
ATM the leaderboards arent being dominated by xbox x and ps4 pro. NG+ leader played on base ps4.
The difference would be mere seconds, very non aggressive 2 digits max.
The difference between 60 and 120 is much bigger than base ps4 and ps4pro. The difference is only a dozen(give or take) fps opposed to 60 fps difference between 60 and 120. PC hasnt made any complaints. The difference between consoles is seconds, if that, since loading times arent counted towards IGT. So its all based on smoothness. I dont think 45 fps is that huge of a difference from 58fps.
PS5 or series x shouldnt be a thought until they are released. Which I still dont think they will make that big of a difference either. Unless an update is released to open up fps beyond 60.
Within the list to the left, somewhere under leaderboard
A timer doesnt really help Console players keep track of their pace. A quick pause in certain areas is the console way. I will gladly throw a timer in to help though. The timer would be timing my session not the isolated submitted run though. Which is the issue I am wondering about.
You would have to turn off cloud.
Under resources on the discord. Ask about save swapping. I remember reading something about save swapping for PC. Could have been tripping though. Using discord and asking about it wont hurt though.
If you use a herb at orange caution it will bring you up to yellow caution. Waiting for infection to bring you to danger will possibly take to long. Unless you are in orange caution anyways which a herb will bring you to yellow caution anyways.
From the comparison videos Ive watched. ps4 is the better choice for base and enhanced version of both consoles. Look for them on youtube and view the comparisons yourself though.
Im guessing theres a way to know if the timer was added during capture or post capture.
I guess I will just record as I planned and hope for the best. I wont be recording until we see the knife only and handgun only categories added.
I dont think carlos runs any faster in caution, I dont think he runs any slower either though.
Since theres no real point to it really besides helping out with the verifying process. Could we just start it and forget it through out the play session? Resets and all.
The time wasted getting into caution is canceled out by the time gain of being in caution.
The main point of NG+ is to finish the game ASAP. Assisted would be the fastest difficulty to complete. Runners are free to run any difficulty. Filters allow leaderboard viewers to adjust their search for whatever difficulty they would like to look over.
In my opinion the leaderboards should be split between assisted and inferno though. The difference between the 2 runs is an amount worthy of a separate category. However the main priority of NG+ is the quickest completion and assisted will always be faster.
Since 60 and 120 isnt separated by category only through filter theres no point in limiting your fps to 60. Even if you cant hit a consistent 120 you have a better chance to be higher on the none filtered board with higher fps. Noone not actually running 60 will filter out 60 so its kind of pointless to limit yourself to 60.
Im sure theres some current "120" runs on the board that should be 60. Should have separate categories for 120 and 60. Or just have 120.
Also theres a tutorial stickied in this forum how to make a low end pc run at 120. Should check it out.
The leaderboard was put together hours before the mods started taking runs to verify. Im sure its not final. Knowing the first option works fine, but still dwelling on the second option is a bit nitpicky. Sit tight and let the queue die off abit and Im sure they will work on the little things.
