Since theres no real point to it really besides helping out with the verifying process. Could we just start it and forget it through out the play session? Resets and all.
Not entirely sure why the timer being displayed on screen is a requirement, at best it makes it a tiny bit harder for ppl to splice together a run. But tbph if that’s your intention in the first place an on screen timer display won’t stop you...
Im guessing theres a way to know if the timer was added during capture or post capture.
I guess I will just record as I planned and hope for the best. I wont be recording until we see the knife only and handgun only categories added.
Yeah this is a problem for me as well as my capture card is for recording only. I dont even use livesplit for re3 yet, and probanly only will if i absolutely have to
If you use a capture card, using OBS is recommended, as you can locally record a clean video, as well as display your livesplit/timer you're using to track your pace. We're simply asking, not forcing. It seems a bit silly to not display it, and could lead to possible suspicion if other things seem off about your run during verification. Having the local recording and timer on screen helps a lot.
A timer doesnt really help Console players keep track of their pace. A quick pause in certain areas is the console way. I will gladly throw a timer in to help though. The timer would be timing my session not the isolated submitted run though. Which is the issue I am wondering about.
