qckdth: We want to support multiple nameable "Full-game Leaderboard" and "Level Leaderboard" units eventually. This is not currently supported as you point out. I think the way you're handling it right now is probably best under the current system. A Rom Hack/Mod should be considered a separate game unit, not a subunit, and this will be more clear in an update that is being worked on.
You can see last online by going to the user info page like so: http://www.speedrun.com/user/kirkq/info
mt76907: Game has one run/moderator, not that active on here or Twitter, run has been in queue a while. Normally I'd say let the tweet sit longer than one day, but he doesn't appear very active on there either, so ok.
Rithek: Game hasn't had any categories added in its months of existence. (Too old, wasn't flagged) I removed the extra moderators for the game because it's not apparent why they were there and added you.
TheUltimateStooges: Since he apparently added you, it looks like there's some line of communication there, so talk to him please. Board has only existed two days. If it becomes necessary for us to shift moderation to active people because it's a popular game we can do that, but it's too soon.
FireNels: I'll add you to DTL: The Next Chapter because it has existed months and has no runs. Freedom Planet you need to contact the mods and discuss it with them.
Balletdancergabe31: One of the mods is reasonably active, try contacting him. It's not a requirement to have run the game in recent weeks, otherwise moderation would shift far too much.
The site doesn't standardize category definitions. That's left to individual game's moderators. Games aren't listed unless they have a run, or in some cases series moderators add them to complete a series.
but have me the mod for the series with the current 3 Bloons TD mods as mods for all Bloons TD games, until they show interest in the classic Bloons games. Thoughts on this idea?
I'm still asking you to go discuss it with the moderators. From what I'm gathering, they don't play your games and you don't play theirs, so to choose one side to moderate a series "above" the other with no discussion, someone's gonna be mad.
Perhaps a solution to this would be to make the Bloons series all ONE series
This is essentially what I said, isn't it? I don't really see how you're opting to be upset and entirely disagreeing with me. >_>;
I asked you to contact them and try to have some discussion and maybe reach a consensus.
Yeah right now you have to do what the board allows. We'd like functionality to handle PB's off the board eventually, but it's not a high priority task right now.
Legend of Legaia is currently set to "runs require a video", but if you talk to the moderators they could possibly be flexible.
Veganlol: Sure, no runs exist for it yet and it's been months.
Sheikrunner: Per the first post, try contacting DCR, he appears quite active.
game_complete: Last time someone made that argument, their run had been sitting a whole like 4 days. You haven't submitted a run to that game in about 5 months as far as I can tell. 3 of the 5 mods were online in the last two days. It is not a requirement for moderators to verify every run every time they visit the site. I looked at that board 1 month and 3 days ago and the queue was like 3 days behind. I looked at it today and the queue was empty. Must be by some magical circumstance that runs aren't getting verified.
BubbleBobbler: Someone added you prior to me reading this.
rosael: I'll try to look into this, but you haven't exactly given me any information. Feel free to PM me on IRC later
PocketSword: I don't know what this is. Try discussing it with the game moderators first.
Rubberduckyassassin3: There are three active moderators all who run the game. Per the first post in the thread, you should contact them.
SlyLobster: The user follows the game, so he should see a site notification if you post a new forum thread in that game forum. He's been offline a week and your runs are pending only 3 days, so it hasn't been long enough to say he's inactive.
8 months of not visiting the site while logged in would be enough by itself, I dunno what his profile said prior to him logging in again, but it seems it's sorted out regardless.
Yeah, that's the only way to get to the link right now. It really should at least be accessible from the edit profile page.
BrastaSauce: I'm well aware that Twitch messages have flaws, but given that we don't currently have a better solution, that is the recommended course of action. For obvious reasons that step can't be skipped just because it's not ideal. Having both timing methods available is perfectly reasonable, the timer on the left is the one chosen to be prioritized currently. Whether or not it's ideal is subjective, but I don't think it's ruining the game by not being the most clear. I'd probably recommend you get more of a feel for how the site runs. I can't say "you get moderator if you do a run" because it skips all of the rest of the precedent we've been using.
theghostofowlstreet: Looks like 4 days ago buddy, no need to try to pull a fast one on the admins.
theghostofowlstreet: Run in queue, moderator inactive, ok
PeterAfro/XxYxX: The mods responded on the game forum.
frogyfro: Since there haven't been issues with this so far, and in the interest of maintaining somewhat consistent rules and having active moderators available, I'll reconnect the series moderators. Also, if you guys want to handle adding rom hacks via a forum thread in your Minecraft forums, I'd gladly refer people there to have them added by series moderators. Rom hacks are kind of a pain for admins to handle atm, and Minecraft gets a ton of them.
Snypz: The game has numerous active moderators, please contact them.
BrastaSauce: I do see some of your points. Did you actually try sending a Twitch message? That would be step one. I'm unclear if there is actually a problem with the times listed. Numerous games accept both real time and in-game time, and choose to prioritize by one of them. It's possible something is inconsistent, but I haven't been told enough. Since you don't actually have a run on the site or submitted, I'm tending towards no for now.
It's not site scalable to add overly specific platform options to the site console list, so they do need to be variables within the game for now.
Game being discussed: http://www.speedrun.com/corpsepartybd
This isn't a bug, but the auto-formatting could probably be improved.
XxYxX: One of the mods was just online, and appears relatively active on Twitch, and follows the game's forums. There are no runs in the queue for it, and you don't have any runs on the site?
beantts: Mod was back online within a perfectly reasonable amount of time. StarOfDoom: I'll just rename the category New Game+, it looks like it's just confusion with expectations. chiliepeppers: Looks like Gyoo added you I think? jaredsgiantz: It looks like he was on a bit ago by chance and possibly verified one of your two runs? Try contacting him on Twitch as well maybe. Gyro: Switched to you since user has no runs on the site.
I don't think the site could handle 100 billion moderators. Users can ask bad questions, and be pointed towards the first post. There are plenty of non-native English speakers on the site also. No need to be sour about it IMO.
