I'll change it, but I generally recommend against using really generic usernames.
Regarding BetaM's post: We were planning that certain tags would be limited by site staff, while others would be controlled by game moderators. There's essentially no functional reason anyone other than Sonic series moderators and site staff should need access to the Sonic series tag. ((I'm actually not sure organizationally that series functions exactly like a tag, but it's close enough.))
Similarly, many tags mentioned ('mod', 'fangame', 'web/flash' and 'rom hack') only need added at game creation time (or one time upon this change) Aggregating all of this shouldn't be too hard given our current systems, but we'll likely open up a thread for any tag change requests. Things that only pertain to the game and don't greatly affect site sorting would be open to any moderators for the game (as they are now), but a few of the new items need restricted to minimize chaos.
Did you want the e-mail changed on this account?
Added it; you can add games to the series as the series moderator. (Also series requests can be made through the game request form.)
SouthParkStuff: AMVX's and Gyoo's posts are accurate. Submit the run, wait a bit, see if the user responds to your forum post, etc. It's not the funnest, but that's what we're asking. (For clarity: Deln is quoting me having editing Gyoo's post (which was specified).)
Jumpyluff: User didn't really do anything with the page, ok. dylan8915: User offline 3 months, ok.
I'll move Mega Man Rock Force, Mega Man 8 Bit Death Match, Mega Man Super Fighting Robot. (My bad on putting some of these in Mega Man to begin with.)
Rockman no Constancy is a rom hack, and should probably be moved under Megaman 2 when it exists. Nezumi Man appears to be a game in the style of megaman, not predominantly featuring megaman characters; there are many games like this.
We're planning on restructuring rom hacks and fangames in (hopefully) one of the next updates, so this shouldn't be considered a permanent solution.
andypanther: This is related to an update that planning is being done for (no ETA currently.) Basically we want to add certain tags to games such that they do or don't show up in the search bar based on user settings or selections. We're not sure if individual user blacklists will be scalable enough with the current front page though. User customization is generally a good thing (like in this case) when it's not ridiculously specific functionality.
FingerQuick: I can't gauge the effort required to support that, one of the other admins would have to comment.
PvtCb: Contact the current mod please, he's pretty active, PeterAfro: There's not a requirement that moderators are -currently- active with the game or moderators would switch too much. There are no runs in queue for X6. The two moderators here currently moderate on mmrta, so at least some people seem to agree with them. I haven't been following the latest disputes, and I've started forgetting which X game was last arguing about what.
If you just want the whole list of games you follow, it can be found here: http://www.speedrun.com/user/Soliduz_Znake/info
If the issue is what mobiusman suggests, it's maybe not the best way to display that information in that spot, as it probably is confusing.
We've wanted this, but I think we've been putting it off until timer modularity updates, which may unfortunately not be happening until some time after some game modularity updates being planned. There's numerous issues in the site timer code because there's time, in-game time, time without loads, etc, and they're all basically hard-coded. Adding things to IL tables on top of this probably requires undoing and redoing extra things later. I don't know to what extent that affects implementing this at a basic level, but it factors in.
CloudConnection: Added due to inactivity. criban: Super mod was inactive, changed the other moderator to a super, added you, and set series moderator have power here to on, you guys can switch that if you want obviously. TwoGood: Single moderator 3 weeks inactive for a small game and runs in queue, I'll add you. Lastsincommitted: TMNT has two relatively active moderators. Mega Man X, I changed the other moderator to a super moderator, so there's two people you can contact.
Lighnat0r's post applies to the rest of those posts.
Rubberduckyassassin3: There's not a requirement for most series games to inherit series moderators. Some communities have larger more integrated communities and choose to model it this way, but it's not something we're going to enforce for loosely associated games that just happen to be put into the same series. (Assuming we're still talking about Mario Super Sluggers: All 3 users moderating that game have been online in the last week.)
Augora: Try contacting the current moderator, they appear active based on login date, and I don't see any runs in queue.
RobotCrocodilz: I had removed you from a couple games manually case by case largely on the basis that you had requested a bunch of games and not added any runs for them. Admittedly much of this was before game request guidelines were more specific about linking/adding a run. From a user perspective, you're still basically sitting on 10 or 20 games you don't run and haven't even added a run for, which has the effect of holding them from other users who could request them. Adding a game cover is pretty basic effort, and themes aren't required. (Looking back the themes issue I mentioned a while back was possibly the other guy moderating that game, it's been a while so I can't recall all the specifics. I think I was assuming you guys knew each other, which might have been a bad assumption on my part.) Super moderators can no longer remove super moderators as of a few months ago.
Not making changes to DK moderation at this time. I really do recommend involving multiple people with games/series moderation in general though, because it increases the likelihood that user consensus is met. We also have series with large amounts of games that don't have series moderators in some cases.
Deln: He responded to authorblues on Twitter when he asked not too long ago. I don't really see a large reason to intervene in this case since your run was approved and the super mod appears contactable and reasonable. (If the general consensus among the runners is an issue with his non-video run, that's a different discussion.)
Avanor: I sent him a PM, we'll see where that discussion goes.
marvjungs: The mods for MLDT are reasonably active with the site, they approved your run. ssjhenrik: I'm fine with adding you because the only user moderating doesn't have a run and you do. The categories also appear not well set up. Toad22484: Most of the mods for these games are active. You should contact the moderators, per the first post in this thread.
I think the first one looks better, but it adds more horizontal space, which we don't have to spare in a lot of cases. The third is probably the most functional. Using the date field makes sense. There's maybe a way to make it look more natural, but I can't think of anything.
It's not really much trouble for admins to handle these requests in obvious cases like this, but it was done before I got here.
Balletdancergabe31: Wait a few days. Some people don't check all of their messages daily.
PeterAfro: Since you were apparently the only one that could've added him, and he doesn't have a run, that's fine.
I would be cool to have filters by user region. The specific URL you mention probably isn't the best way to do it. It should just be a generic filter. (All filters should ideally have URL text strings, but I'm not sure what the plans are for that at the moment.)
Gyoo got baited by the troll :)
