I deleted the themes. Sorting through what's intended to be a real time and what isn't on is difficult on these boards.

There should presumably be a rule against attaching stupid pictures and fake videos to runs, but the site doesn't have a thorough rules section at this time. Meme themes on the whole board are more egregious.

Both of these boards have been this way for numerous months and predate moderator logs.

A feature to not ever show a specific user's runs on the front page? Not sure how much this would burden the code that generates that list. It may already be relatively intensive for the database to process.

It's probably been about a week and a half. I'll process through a chunk of the backlog today. I haven't had much availability recently, sorry.

Mastoise: Moderator inactivity is defined as around 3 weeks. It is not at all required that people log in daily to moderate runs.

TheKombatKing: Moved you up to super because it makes too much sense.

tocaloni1: That option was removed in the update a few months ago regarding games in multiple series and other items. It was mentioned in that update thread. I'll move you up to super since the super is a bit inactive.

StrawberryMilk: I usually prefer at least 3 games existing. Requests for now series can also go through the game request form. Also, the game you just added has no runs. Lonely board. :(

LozBlind: Since you only moderate one official release, I'm not sure this makes the most sense. The boards seem to be functioning relatively fine as is. As you mentioned, they are in a series, and factioning off a smaller series doesn't really accomplish anything other than putting a few games on their own page unless there's strong consensus. The "all my friends on Discord agreed" point can't hold much weight because it's not necessarily representative of the whole community's opinions. I'm not saying I'm against having a smaller series, but I'm not sure someone who moderates one game (and the modification derivates) should be placed "over" all 5 games, even if not inherited. People still perceive it as "over."

GhostScit: 10 mods available and 4 days pending isn't really within the scope of this thread. Cleaning up moderation to accurately reflect active and/or interested people could probably be discussed on that game's forum.

Beardy: Even if the button is there, I'm not sure if it lets moderators do it or not. Lighnat0r has been testing moderator logs with the site staff the last week or two, so we can get information about things being deleted much more easily now. This concern may be less relevant.

Jezs: To be fair the interface to do so isn't particularly obvious/intuitive. It looks like the moderator added them. All game requests can go through either series moderators or site staff for now. Site staff may send you to series moderators in some cases. The game request form only goes to site staff right now.

Deln/Ozotuh: Like Jezs says, series mods can add new games directly tied to the series. It's expected they stay within the scope of the series. They cannot remove the series tag, so it's blatantly obvious if someone tries to do something dumb.

Spleen: User is months inactive, ok.

Dracula013: Try posting in the game forum for now. The active user may get notifications on forum threads. If this stays an issue for another week or two, we can look at adding mods.

The user who adds it is assigned super mod right now. Whether upon being created it should inherit all series mods or just the one who adds it, I don't have much of an opinion on. That could change at some point. Changes upon attaching existing games to series will probably stay as manual additions for the time being. I've been doing manual series moderator additions for some of the tightly associated series.

Maybe there are better ways to make it less ambiguous.

OmarMR: I was going to make the exception here and delete that user's account because they haven't logged on in about a year, and there are no runs or posts associated with the account. (This is in-line with what I had said a few months back.) However, I can't actually change your name right now due to the "Failed to rename theme folder." bug another user was having.

LoveBot: This could almost be construed as a convoluted way of attempting to bypass series moderation. If there are moderation concerns they should probably not be addressed by splitting games to bypass moderators. With that in mind, I'll make the change because it makes relative sense as requested.

Deln: The "Series moderators have power here" option has been intentionally removed since the multi-series changes some months ago. I think there are further details in the post pertaining to that update. People are either associated with the game or they aren't.

g0goTBC: Since your runs still haven't been verified and you have a bunch of runs I'll add you.

zergreenone: I'll ask them to dig into the database to look at this. I can't see anything pertaining to this through the site interface. If you deleted the rejected runs, it makes checking this more difficult. Last I checked moderators couldn't delete runs, if that isn't true after the updates, someone should let me know.

DonkeyKongGenius: If mods are active, you should discuss with them. This thread is for handling cases where people are inactive or there are substantial issues.

kobepilgrim: I can't manually edit topic titles, I think it has to be done through the database. If someone wants to rewrite the first post to be more clear, I can look at updating it.

DonkeyKongGenius: Category Requests should go through the individual game's moderators/forum. Main site staff doesn't handle that.

(From previous posts, I have a way to add games to series now, but can't add base games for rom hacks right now due to a bug.)

battleonfan1: This whole discussion has devolved into just ranting and both sides have "poisoned the well" so to speak. Starting a rant about not having mod for a game you haven't submitted a run for and then taking it to Twitch chat and particiating in a flame war has only created more conflict than necessary. If you decide to do a run, those problems don't magically disappear.

I haven't played in some months. I assume the latest on Steam was fine. I think there were just small dialog changes or something. Let us know if there's anything major that was changed that affects timing and we can look in more detail. I'm not really sure of any specifics you're mentioning.

There's not any way to block users right now. I've stated that should be a prerequisite for implementing a Private Message system (at least as it pertains to the message system itself.) As it is most of the site content is public, not private. (A thought of blocking forum posts by user might be reasonable, but maybe not a common implementation) Most board specific issues have to be dealt with by the boards themselves right now; a tighter layer of control over that in the future would be useful.

If it gets out of hand site moderators can ban, but as it is it's just some guy being overly brash and disagreeable.

battleonfan1: Replacing an active mod who runs the game with a mod who doesn't have a run of the game would work out very poorly 99% of the time. It's not irrelevant, it's reality. Your original post basically boiled down to "they haven't run it in a while and wouldn't give me mod." (As an aside, I don't know that I've seen a PS1 game that has load times directly comparable to a PC game. People may choose to track them alongside each other, but it most likely makes equal or more sense to track them separately. Tracking NTSC vs PAL separately usually makes the most sense, but a lot of games don't get around to adding this until someone actually submits a PAL run, which isn't ideal.) FurryWulfz: If there's at least one active moderator around, people can generally go through them. I'd generally recommend having 3 or more active moderators for any decent sized game if people are available. If inactive people need removed, the current mods of the game can ask here as well.

Supernoah93: Go through the current moderators. This thread only exists if there are issues with how the board is being run or there is inactivity. Boards have no inherent need to add everyone that plays a game as moderator.
