In response to Agnic's post: The site has some obligation to maintain the games list in sane fashion. The community consists of runners of the game and some extension of the larger majority of the community playing games. In my opinion making the game cover stupid degrades the perception of the site as a whole and thus all other games on the site lose a small amount of perceptive value. I think people in general want the site to look reasonably good. If a user and their friends want do stupid things, and the majority of site users don't want them to do stupid things, it's on the site to stupid stupid things from happening. Calling things meme boards is quite minor in comparison to that argument. With regard to "meme boards" in particular, I think it provides better quality of life to the site and by extension the larger base of users of the site to name things "Category Extensions." This is my opinion at least.
It's really not a user's leaderboard. It's a leaderboard for the community to use, maintained by a set of moderators.
I still want this stuff merged back into the main game once it is architected properly, but I can't exactly will code into existence.
One of the other staff handled this request it would appear.
Neis: Please discuss it with the moderators first. I added the other series mod to the game.
Eiterbeule: Guidance per this thread is larger than 3 weeks for moderator inactivity. Try contacting the moderator first.
RapTix: Since you made a forum post and things seem to make sense, I added you by discretion.
ROMaster2: I don't mind empty games specifically for the sake of series completion. The other mod was the one that added them, so could you get his concurrence in this case?
penguin9541: ok
Coldflame: Use the "last online" metric. They've both been on fairly recently, and one verified your run. I bumped one up to super mod.
battlemankiller: It looks like your run was added.
Speedbooster27: Please discuss it with the current mods.
snes_fanatic: For more popular games, they're almost always going to want moderators that run the game. More generally it should be discussed with current moderators if possible before coming here.
Toad22484: One of the mods logged in just a bit ago. Hopefully this resolves itself. If not I can probably make a change.
Tron_Javolta: Runs have been pending a while, ok.
Guy named Administrator: I'm asking Pac to lockout the "admin" and "administrator" names and change your name slightly since there's nothing on them. Having forum users named admin is prone to creating huge problematic misconceptions. Go be admin92 or something if you reeeeaally want.
RC-3P0: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/frjsy/40#wi8a0
WoT_Auddy07: The username contains invalid characters. Please only use letters, digits, extended Latin letters, dashes, periods or underscores, without spaces. Limit is also 20 chars.
Vaith319: I'm really confused why you're asking for account deletion one day and offering to help translate the site in a different thread the day after. Please repost to confirm you actually want the account deleted I guess.
My ad-blocker was blocking it for a while. Maybe they don't like things that say "Follow" or something.
The case-sensitive URLs are really dumb. I have no idea how much work it would be to fix it at this point though.
ROMaster2: Maybe as an option for users to enable but off by default. Users shouldn't be forced to follow just by submitting unless they want that to be the behavior.
Oggyerino: There is a user with that name who has runs, so I can't do that. BlackRainbowX: There is a user with that name who has runs, so I can't do that. Acearinos: No need to post twice unless it's missed. Queue is cleared once a week roughly.
Royal64: I'd rather the game's mods handle this if at all possible. There are 4 of them and 2-3 of them are relatively active.
Falacious: Ok, inactive moderator, run pending.
GhostScit: This is fine I suppose since the page is lacking moderators and you have runs of other games in the series.
ROMaster2: I set default view back to full game, at least since it has no IL runs.
CyberAquarius: Since you run the first game and the user is somewhat inactive, this seems fine.
PojeBunny: I messaged you earlier as well, check your "Other" box. (Worst feature on Twitch.)
Racingmonster: Ok, since you had it originally if I recall.
ASmallPotato: We're just gonna roll without mods on the series for now because people since people don't seem to get along very well at the moment.
Racingmonster: That's likely correct as is. See wikipedia for the game for details.
Give it 30 minutes and do a Ctrl+F5. Usually this is sufficient, if it's not let us know.
Variables need split out of the menu on larger resolutions. It's a high priority issue. I also agree with the sentiment of "all" for an optional user override for subcategories.
Meh. It's a dumb day of the year. We should put site in read-only mode next year. Epic meme.
Submit a game request 2-3 weeks before release, we try to give sequels to previous moderators. We don't want to add games months in advance.
Probably the issue described here: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/8wj39
I don't know what game it was, please resubmit.
The site already has issues with people who barely play games making giant empty boards with a 2 second 1-1 and then moderating for a bunch of other users who play for more than two seconds. I don't think asking someone to show a little bit of proof they've played a game for more than 2 seconds is unreasonable. Maybe it's inconsistent with a previous request, and maybe that request shouldn't have been accepted either.
Should we set a standard where users play a game for 2 seconds and then moderate boards? - I think most people would agree that we shouldn't set that standard. It's not in writing, and it probably should be.
I don't think asking you to provide evidence you've played for more than 2 seconds is at all unreasonable. You're welcome to resubmit, and it will be processed in the queue. I apologize that the game request form got as far behind as it did, but that's not an excuse to accept everything that comes through.
I'm renaming these to English and deleting the duplicate board so they are searchable to common folks like myself. Boards shouldn't be split without discussion, and boards without common English names are very hard to find. You can use parentheses to put name variants if desired, but it can get excessive.
