No one has done Original Mode runs because emulators can save anything from 1 to 5 seconds every minute and the differences between emulators are massive. And almost no one runs this on console
Too bad everyone wants to use rev0 :P
GG!
Actually, more like BG
These look pretty nice in the preview picture, so we can use these if you want :)
I can even volunteer to add the Japanese titles for games.
At least Dahlor got it down https://www.speedrun.com/outrunarcade/run/y654p61z
JP version is perfectly fine. There are also many different revisions that might have some differences but anything goes.
Not separating the difficulties seems to get more votes. It also makes the leaderboard look much better at the moment.
Difficult is currently theoretically the fastest sub-category but no one runs it yet.
Also, the current WR was done on Normal so that's what people should see when they visit the leaderboard :P
I don't really know how these people got those crazy times. It's a shame that it's impossible to find any other gachaless runs for comparison.
Although it's a 2D game, cutting corners must somehow still do something? Otherwise even here the stage 2 time would be exactly the same.
You can see the inputs for fast acceleration here
I separated the difficulties, even though I personally think that most categories feel more like a "slower Any%" than truly different categories.
So there's no possiblility to select England (or Scotland for that matter)? The UK flag is [gb] but [gb-eng] doesn't work. I just ended up using the Union Jack for people from the UK.
Flip's newest TAS has a boss skip that's doable RTA. Aladdin must have 1hp left (i.e. take penultimate damage) in order to perform this skip. The skip doesn't work on other difficulties, therefore making Any% Difficult the fastest category.
This post is just a heads-up for everyone!
Wow this is an awesome find!
I tested the trick and it feels easy to pull off.
It's possible on every platform, it just takes some practice.

I don't know any versions where it works.
Similarly, it's hard to find ALF with the search feature.
