This should be a big time save once a proper route is figured out: I'm mostly just mashing jump and switch at the same time but changing the timing of the first switch slightly to gain more height.
You can sort of hover in the air by mashing jumping + switch with a movable block. I haven't seen anyone do it in any runs but I can easily improve some ILs by using it myself.
I had some issues getting used to the original version after solely running SNES; mostly due to not having two run buttons and slowdown from lag. Other than that, you could easily relearn all the strats and use your knowledge of general movement to transition your skill over.
@Liv I don't want to continue being responsible for the boards I admin/moderate. If anyone asks about a game that I oversee, please grant them the position they ask for.
Sorry about that. Feel free to make any other requests for board changes. Also, if anyone else feels like taking responsibility they can become an admin for the series.
I suppose this is possible because it counts as an enemy you can stand on, while automatically pushing you through itself during its rise.
This works with all characters on every version of the game.
How did you pick it up while the screen was changing? Did you mean you picked it up at the same time you entered the door?
The trick is to do everything as fast as possible.
It was found that using a password after taking the double KO from the Australia boss allows you to use the new Red Dragon jump zip. What do you think about allowing password use at this particular point in the run?
I shouldn't really have any input since I'm a mod only because I created the series, but I believe you can add any category to Misc. If that doesn't work, just make ILs to satisfy people.
Sorry, I only just now saw your post due to a lack of notification for it. I added the game and if you're interested in being a mod, just ask.
I'm adding you all as mods for now.
I vote yes, but I'll only put in enough effort to retime those with currently tied times.
The TASer Mitijitsu found a new trick that I just saw while browsing through youtube. First vid with short explanation: An implementation that apparently saves 3 minutes:
