One more reason why this category needs to be put under misc. category.
$39/$78 for wasting hours and hours on these games. Sounds very attracting and will definitely bring the right competition! Especially having the bounties inches away from WR holders! Deadline is cool as well! I hope runners aren't too late! Keep it up!
Very attracting!

I thinking about it last night and it seems that everyone has a different timing method. I couldn't think a good, logical timing method.
For the time being, i'm going to use the IGT method which is when you gain of control of Postal Dude instead of the mapping.
Re-timing on the leaderboards soon. Any questions or comments leave a reply.
I apologize if this was already mentioned before but this might be faster a bit faster and consistent than just doing going again only to mess it up once again.
(Might work with forwards duping as well).
Basically, Jump, hit F3, wait 'til Tommy's landing animation to start then F3 again. Be sure to be at the very left of the marker otherwise you'll trigger the phonecall. ¤¤Note that the intention is only if you were to early too hit the mission marker¤¤ (although if you want to make it a personal way of duping go ahead).
E: Waiting until Tommy's landing animation is really tight, activate a bit earlier, messing (early) up isn't a bigger deal than the backwards/forward duping.
Yeah, it got caught in the security mess so it broke. Thanks for the repost. lol
I usually don't make New Year's Resolutions, but I looked back at 2014. I had many personal projects in mind: GTAX, BD:DFBF, and finally GTA Long Night mod Segmented run. Never got to work on any of these projects as much because I was afraid that I was going to fall behind on my main speedruns.
So I present to you, the Long Night mod segmented run.
Managed to beat my estimate by 5 minutes. This was kind of rushed because I had other work to do, but it doesn't have many major mistakes. I might come back and finish a proper segmented run for this mod but for now, enjoy.
Final time:
0:38 (IGT) 41:37 (RTA)
For those who've played the mod or seen it, the mission "Showing Off" only took 2 tries (ironic because I abandoned the project because of it). Although "Dead Drop Rush" took ~5.

Slightly off topic but something to put out there.
Technically, you have some control during the cutscene in 3 (At least after the fade). I look at it this way: In 3, after the fade, you are able to pause the game while in Vice City, you have no control at all until the cutscene ends.
GTA3 is one of those games that is very easy to learn by watching. The only exception(s) would be the dodo flying/landing and maybe duping. Try not to watch the WR run right off the bat, try watching some legacy runs like Adam's 1:16, the SDA run (1:11:57), and/or watch a lot of videos/streams of any%. And as always, practice, practice, practice.
Good luck, have fun. HassanChop
"but it wasn't more consistent for me (mostly because it's easier to mess up the bump than mess up an actual jump), so I will still test/experiment more and (re)upload if i get it more consistently or have a better idea."
Hmm, I was thinking the same thing when I saw it for the first time, now it makes sense.
Chivu's modified Chaperone Rampage Start:
Edit: R.I.P
But i'll just tell you, he uses the small bump to activate the mission faster.

Default on, For an unregistered runner it should be left alone (Or see the (¤) at the bottom)
-
Just like what Ben said, the mod/sub icons shouldn't return, all it does is show off status. To be honest, people can care less about who's mod or who has Twitch partner.
-
Images are fine, way easier to read than text.
In addition to 3 though, ¤for the people who doesn't have a flag should be replaced with a empty flag with a question mark (Like what SRL used to have). Also, i'm not sure if I should include this but maybe left aligning the names might make the flags standout more. Or if that doesn't look good, then maybe make 'Country' a separate row (such as 'Player' ,'Time' etc.)
I have a good mouse, just don't feel like switching DPI everytime I stop playing/playing something else. But, i'll just switch back to 200 just to be on the safe side.
But you mention that it's abusable, how so?
I haven't seen any differences. Although, the radio doesn't reset.
Also, what happens in 3?
When loading up the game file. It reads the load file, shows the "Loading" screen then it sends you to the beginning.
Since i've been running games that requires a much higher sensitivity, i've been using a DPI of 600 for both my desktop and games. Of course a DPI like this would be hell to get used to for Vice City, so I used the Y-Axis Fix from the pcgamingwiki, but there's a problem; everytime you start a new game and changes you've made to the mouse sensitivity resets back to normal. I came up with a solution, taking a retail game save and everytime I reset, I load the game and it resets the game and keeps the mouse sensitivity changes.
My question(s) are: • Would this be considered cheating? • Is reloading this game save considered NG+?
Thanks.
I'm going to assume you already know how to jump on the marker. The timing is fairly simple. When Lance starts apologizing, then jump.
E: Or jump at "Sorry" (It's been a while since I did that jump).
