But the thing is though, nothing in the game except the battle level changes. Sure some things seem like less of a threat, but all of that is due to the battle level. I have really mixed thoughts on this but in general I am leading towards keeping it the same category. In the end I feel a good choice may be to create a vote and let democracy settle this. Nevertheless since people like Moon, who is basically the main runner right now, has expressed dislike for non-separation I'm ok with separating them.
Except the difficulty doesn't change. Correct me if I am wrong but in BBS battle levels aren't affected my difficulty. Crit and Proud technically have the same battle levels. So in this case I feel like we would end up like Gold Crown when the skip was found. People are suggesting a different category but do we really NEED 2 RoD categories? The yes/no idea seems perfect to me just because of how simple it is to implement and how effective it is.
The whole idea of using two significant different routes exists in many game that people speedrun. Take a look at the Sonic Adventure LB. They have a form, like the yes/no one, were you select what route you used. Even though some routes are faster they aren't different categories. I understand this is a totally different game but it is still an example of the yes/no suggestion being used correctly.
At the end of the day though, I don't run the category myself so I also believe it should be up to the people who run it to decide.
I'm for no ban. The Yes/No variable looks like a good idea though.
I don't thing we should change it. There is nothing wrong with the current method and I agree that it keeps a consistency between all games. If it's not broken, don't try to fix it.
I mean if you do a run I don't see why not since its against AI. Bu it would have to be restricted to doing it without a premade group.
That's true. Everything spawns on a timer so you would technically be timing how fast you can kill Mercy and then Junkrat.
But do the Disney Town Cutscenes take more time than end game cutscenes? Honestly, it would have to be taken into account. Depending on time loss it may be worth to have all 3 completed if you want to run All Stories.
But can't you already have the reports from preset saves? or is that not allowed?
Also should be noted that some strats differ from 2.5 and FM.
Depending on what you want to run, somebody already probably has notes about it. I would still recommend to watch a run, just like Timmiluvs said, but if you want notes you could probably ask on the discord.
For the record I was also talking for the lack of proper categories. Nevertheless, thank you for taking my comment into account a fixing it.
So a few games have formatting issues in terms of category names. Also the release date for every single game is wrong and seems to be the first day of they year. An example is this. http://imgur.com/a/2kvFr If you look at BBS, Terra Any% appears as Any%, Ven appears as All Stories Any% and so forth. Just please when you get the time, tend to this. (Also I wouldn't mind helping)
I would guess no? Category rules just state "Beat all 81 levels" so I don't believe you would need to.
Is PPSSPP allowed for the run.
Beware if using a ROM version. There is what appears to be a visual error where clouds sword will turn large at random points. See image below for example. I don't believe this affects gameplay in any way, but be warned just in case. http://imgur.com/YrPxY5w Also I have started adding resources, so if you are interested in running this game feel free to take a look.
I am incredibly sorry or the late response. Had exams and then holidays with no internet and also didn't check this due to inactivity. Fixed up everything along with some categories.
Im fine with that honestly. The whole purpose of this forum originally was opinions after all.
