You mean you want to know what to do when you have trouble with your recording device and can't record your playthrough for a long time with that, right ?(If I'm not mistaken)

Hm... I think you better try using that stuff after a pause for some while, or if you really can't make it work as you want you better buy another one. :) (would be easier for us to answer if only you could specify which device you're using at the moment)

And if you mean "my record do not support" by you "can't have your in-game record on the top of the leaderboards", hm I can say the only way you keep staying on the top is just beat the record of the other players...

As PreFiXAUT and kobe already hinted out above it's gonna be a good idea to try to make up something for the boring-to-watch run in the stuff outside the speedrunning itself - like trying to be more active in mutually communicating with the viewers who bother to take time to watch your videos you think overly monotonous.

Well concerning the "look" of the run tending to be boring / interesting to watch actually it can also be applied to some of the RPG games to some extent in my opinion, but only if you could offer the viewers the second option that can enough substitute for the content of the video it would be rather no problem in most of the cases I guess.

I kinda found it funny how this guy is trying to pretend he didn't do anything wrong or suspicious in a single speedrun by repeatedly saying who the heck ¤¤¤¤¤ is that had done such a mess for him, yet many of the attempts of lying ending up in failure and himself winding up nowhere after all.

The advice I can give you is : don't do anything crappy or fishy if you want to keep yourself intact from the suspicions from other speedrunners / mods, or don't touch the game once and for all if you can't play the game using the cheating stuff.

I have no idea what sort of games you'd really like to play just by the words "fun action, adventure or platformer games" and I'm not exactly familiar with those belonging to the platformer games, but speaking Resident Evil wise which is one of my favorite game franchise, I think I'd recommend you to hit Resident Evil Outbreak games since they have a couple of chapters you can beat in less than 10 minutes(the WR was somewhere like 4 minutes and 50 seconds as far as I can remember, as a matter of fact). :)

I guess you better ask that kind of question in the sub forums of the game as on this talk forum there are also people who have absolutely no idea what the game is...

In my view sure, why not ? Why do you even think you have to always limit yourself to play on the steam version ? You can just do the speedruns on any of the versions you want...

And as for live streaming, as long as the runs you submitted cling to the rules of speedrunning (that means : basically not cheating(TAS or so on), doing inappropriate things that go against the rules for the runs to be counted legit in the leaderboards (e.g. using the ditman glitch, or skipping some areas by triggering that glitch) you don't have to do the lives, as there's countless number of people who just submit their own runs without even showing their face on the live :) yet the advice I can give you personally would be that it would be better to record full runs instead of only showing the result or certain part of the run - in order to show the mods the "proof" that the run is clean without any foul play. :)

Well to put it short : sometimes your runs get verified rather pretty quickly, whereas in some cases it takes several days or a couple of weeks at the longest(not months imo) for your runs to be verified by the moderators as they're being busy and they have their own life, as you may know.

Personally I know a dude from Argentina who's wild on knifing the enemies and the "no damage" challenges by using only the knife as the main weapon on youtube, but the speedrunners from that country really ain't familiar to me...

Well that being aside, like RacingMonster and some others already pointed out you can hit the ・・・ section next to the "forums" button and go to the page of "users" if you want to search for the users / speedrunners from each region, and you can hit the name of the country the speedrunners in question come from, and you'll see the list of all the speedrunners from that country. :)

Hope you get your problems / queries solved and enjoy your sojourn on here.

I'm not sure about the racing shooting games but from what I've read from Deln's posts they seemed like Mario Cart games in which you're to collect as many coins/other stuff as possible during the races, yet I myself don't play such games and from among the racing games the only one franchise I've been into has been the Gran Turismo series. :)

Anyways hope you'll find out what you wanted on this community, and welcome to the forum. :)

xDrHellx Yeah I know you feel about the long speedruns that last for basically more than 2 ~ 3 hours or such ebing so daunting, especially when you funk it up at some part around the end and you had to restart it all over the scratch after hours of being glued to the screen / paying utmost attentions to what's going on in screen. :(

Myself the longest sppedrun I've ever done is, hmm I'd dare to say probably the one in RE2 which took me about 1h and 53 minutes to wrap up the challenge, yet haven't done too much of speedruns in various games like some of you guys it has long been the longest one as far as I can remember, I'm now thinking of doing a speedrun in RE Revelations 1 I bought recently but found it kinda tiresome rather than being too "demanding". :p

Hm, main things are mostly pretty much said but yeah as Lance_ said above I guess it's gonna be a better idea to start with small talks about what you think she might like and let her give you something out of herself gradually to lead to the main question you wanted to ask, rather than directly asking her what you want. You need to change the question based on what you've heard from her about her actual taste beforehand (i.e. Movies, favourite foods / sport or fashion) if it was different from what you expected her to tell you, of course. Getting associated with a girl requires you to be flexible and you have to be enough clever to be able to talk about various topics so I think it's a bit tough though.

How do you ¤handle sickness during a speedrun¤ ? Hm I'd rather say I won't do a speedrun if I knew all along my condition ain't going to be well both in my physical condition and my performance in the video game which makes no sense and will end up being a waste of time and energy, so I always ask myself if today's me will do fine or not before actually giving it a try at first hand, and if I figured out on halfway it's not as desirable as I thought at first then I quit the game soon (or at the least I'd limit myself to doing only some trials as the "practices" on how to build better routes / strategies before an actual run. :)

But about if you've got some kind of problems "while" doing a good speedrun, meh I'd say I'd put away with it as much as I can if the problem is possible to deal with (stomachache and the need to go to toilet per every interval, for instance) with your efforts, but once I found it unbearable then I'll restart the game.
