for splitting i split when i get the scissors and pause as soon as i start telleporting to next chapter. If anyone wants to and can since we obviously can't time frame perfectly without spending hours retiming if anyone can and wants to make an autosplitter for the game that would be amazing and make the times much more accurate.

times without loads is the run without the loads between each chapter that can vary and sometimes take up to a minute to load if your unlucky

That actually sounds like a good idea to me. I allways hated when i had an unfair advantage over others and don't think it is right. This seems like the right thing to do to make sure that no one is penalized based on their region.

If you mean ILs then i don't think 2 IL leaderboards are needed, but if you mean a full game category of doing all time trial tracks then i think it could be a good meme category but that is only my opinion

Yes i know but when it does get finished if we use IGT we should stop people from taking breaks with RTA. Also while not related have the devs said anything about when the game will be finished?

I just found this game and looking into speedrunning it. i use the non steam version and the auto splitter did not work for me. I am using windows 10 so if that might be a part of it could someone tell me? Also do i have to do something to connect livesplit to the game for it to work?

EDIT: I got the steam version and the autosplitter still did not work. I want to know what @NuMetalz results were with windows 8 because it could be different on windows 8 then windows 10 which is what i have.

no i mean a break in between the levels like finishing forest and taking a break before doing oasis

That would be fine with me but if we do use IGT then we should have RTA required to submit to make sure no breaks are taken during the run.

but time would not start until everyone is loaded in so it should not be that big of a problem.

i would love to have that but it would not work with multiplayer because once you get in the hole you have to wait for everyone else to get in the hole but the timer would be paused by the auto splitter.

i agree i would love to see ILs. Timing would use IGT of course.
