I have a better idea. How about we just go by the in game timer instead of using Livesplit. That way loads can no longer have any advantage.
Made this thread for anyone looking for my notes or anything to help new runners that are interested in running Tales of Destiny PS1.

Any questions about the run I'm willing to answer.
So let's all come to a consensus here so we don't have any more confusion here. We use a timer outside of the IGT in the game to track our IL times when submitted? Preferably starting the timer after pressing "A" on the load screen right before the chapter actually begins? Or does anyone else have any more points to use IGT over an RTA timer?
No. Going by the in game timer you get in your results screen should suffice.
The game doesn't tell you IGT until like Chapter 2 when you start a new game and having ILs for New Game I'm pretty sure wouldn't be worth tracking since. 1.) The game auto-saves once you complete the map and your level, EXP and such are saved, putting you at an advantage over another player. 2.) You could grind endlessly on earlier maps so you can complete later ILs in a New Game to clear out enemies faster, making that unfair and a complete mess to track. The implied setting is on "Free Mode" which is the New Game+ setting. ILs in this case would be better off left to be tracked up the impression of someone using Free Mode. One thing I should/will do is specify that since it seems that caused a bit of confusion.
dig it. Hyrule Warriors has theirs, I don't see why we can't if there's actual interest in it.
Sorry for the mixup. Yeah that really wouldn't be fair. I'll get that changed.
We have a Fire Emblem discord but there aren't any aspiring runners there for Warriors as mostly everyone is playing it casually at the moment. You might be better off going to the Hyrule Warriors discord.
I was planning on it. I wanted to give it a little longer before completing as the game hasn't even been out for a week in the west.
The route should be in the guides section.
Wassup. I have banned emulators on the account of GBA emulators being very very inaccurate and have caused issues when it comes to leaderboards and times. If you have a time, I can create a misc. category for emulated runs if you'd still like to submit it.
We usually add Co-op categories only if there is interest in it as there is really no reason to add categories no one is going to do runs of. I added the Co-op categories just now if you or anyone else is interested, you can find it in the misc. category section.
There are no big advantages to which version you choose to use.

Hello, there is currently no written route as of today but there is much discussion about the route in the Tales of Discord if you would like to join and speak with it amongst the other ToS2 runners. also, PS3 is faster than Wii.
