https://www.speedrun.com/mas2020/guide/bkms5 this guide will have everything now and will be updated based on how the community feels about exits
Ok 2020 event was requested so here they are. 100m: exit on "finish" 110m Hurdles: same as 100m 4x100m: same as 100m Javelin: once "foul" appears on last throw or when "finish" appears on last throw (depends if you throw or not) Triple Jump: once the screen fades to black and then changes to your character standing next to the sand you can exit Discus Throw: same as Javelin Sport Climbing: exit on "time's up" Surfing: same as sport climbing Skateboarding: exit on "finish" Boxing: exit when "K.O" appears Karate: exit once final hit lands and the slow motion starts Football: same as sport climbing Equestrian: same as 100m Gymnastics: there is no fast exit Swimming: same as 100m Canoe: same as 100m Rugby Sevens: exit on "full time" Badminton: exit when the scoreboard appears on the centre when it turns to 5 Table Tennis: Same as badminton Fencing: same as karate Archery: same as skateboarding
If finishing a run on any of these events just replace exit with timer split
Here's a rundown for 1964 events: Judo: exit on "Ippon!" 10m Platform: exit when the black score box shows up after the final dive 100m: exit once finish line is crossed 400m Hurdles: exit once finish line is crossed Vault: exit once score appears after the second jump Volleyball: exit once the score reaches 6 Shooting: exit at the end (you shouldn't come first so you wouldn't go through awards) Kayak: exit once finish line is crossed Long Jump: exit when it says "foul" on the third jump or after the score shows on the third jump Marathon: exit once finish line is crossed (if you do events in the order all the other runners do it this should be your last event so timing ends once you cross the finish line)
Fast exiting is not done in the Gold Medal categories.
For Gold Medal runs you must go through the awards ceremony to confirm that a gold medal has been awarded, the only place where this isn't done is on the very last event where timing ends when the event ends (ex. crossing the finish line in Marathon). The timing for ending can be changed to when the award ceremony starts if that's wanted instead.
for gold medals it will be you have to go through the ceremony
Gold Medals for 2020, 1964 and All Events are added with each level of difficulty as well as Gold% which is getting all golds on every difficulty.
I will add gold medal in right now. 100% would consist of getting gold in all difficulties, completing story mode and finishing all the challenges lmao. if you're willing to do a run i will add it.
Anyone want a 100% category?
@Admiralfunk that can definitely be out in, I can probably add it in later tonight
@DemataPyro Out of the list of events you gave I only see surfing and sport climbing being suitable for running, the other events are too limited in terms of areas of time save. I won't add those events yet as those types of ILs currently have like 1 and occasionally 2 people on the leaderboard, if more people played those events I'd add further consideration to adding more events similar. Until these events get higher demand they will be left out.
All of the story mode minigames that are suitable to run are up. If any changes need to be made to rules for them or any need to be added/removed just let me know either here or on discord.
@thebluemania shubuya scramble search is not up yet but should be soon.
If you're talking about the 8.781 it is impressive but reasonable especially comparing to online rankings.
If I added Gold Medal categories for all events, 2020, 1964, and dream would anyone ever run them or is it not worth my time to set them up. I could also just set up all events only or whatever is wanted.
Yeah that's exactly how it would work, you just can't quit events before they're fully finished (ie. you take the last shot in archery but quit out before it hits)
You do not have to go through the medal getting cutscene. Events can be exited before the cutscene as long as they are fully completed.
