https://www.speedrun.com/post/0705g not sure if this is needed, but it goes with that ^
It's not the first, but I will agree it's one of the best, if not the best.
Isn't ffzGetChatty already a thing though? What does this have that Chatty doesn't?
GTA 5 Any% Mission Skip, literally mission fails as fast as you can so you can skip just about all of the missions
So I assume it's happening to you as well.
http://www.speedrun.com/post/mhw4n This is a great post to check if you're new to the site :D
Is this happening for anyone else? (the characters in between "Roman" and "s") https://gyazo.com/bb6a861d41dc7af9fa5992bf6521b40e
As there's no runs on the board and you'd be the first, I'd say do what you feel is best and what you feel will ensure the fairest competition between potential runners.
If you're not savvy with that kind of stuff, I suggest using LiveSplitOne - a browser version of LiveSplit that is cross platform https://cryze.github.io/LiveSplitOne/
Cross platform means it's able to be run on Windows and a Mac.
More details on this, please:
Give more info. There's a few places in LV where you use a heli.
I'd like to change my vote to #4
Either start from the replay menu OR start from the mission marker.
There probably should be an IL mod chosen or something. But I don't see why there should be different rules regarding replays for each mission. GTA 3 has different rules due to some cutscenes, so if that is the case here I would say add that. But are you really going to put restrictions on certain things being used for certain missions, like no jets etc. You'd basically be saying "oh you can go fast for this mission but not this one."
EDIT: On a side note, I know that the way other games are run shouldn't necessarily influence the way that this one is run. I'm just making a comparison/example.
You can if you want, but it can get annoying if you PM them when your run has only been a few days in limbo or if you spam their messages. You also can't do it over the site (yet), so you'd have to use Discord or Twitter or some other social messaging site to contact them on.
Apparently the only option that you have for a Mac is Llanfair.
In the end it's obviously up to the mods, but input is usually welcomed.
Wait...when/why would you save and reload?
So based on what DV said and what I'm reading, ILs are simply down to execution (aside from the limited speedrunning strats like driving to the rec center during Chop)? I mean isn't what Havi said the case?
Isn't the point of speedrunning to complete the mission as fast as possible?
I guess you wouldn't be trying to get the fastest time then...
After reading CheeseLover's post, I can now make an educated decision. 3.
Also, Emerald/Unhollowed's reasoning for thinking #1 is the best option is basically its "easier." As said above, this should in no way determine what the rules for timing an IL should be.
